you know, if there’s one thing beyond defense that I’d be willing to see more spending on, its medical research

i realize there’s a ton of waste in such programs but
still they have come up with a number of wonderful things ...
and this is something we can all potentially benefit from
too

real medical research like curing cancer, not bogus political-agenda-driven bs junk science etc

Most research *is* “real” research. Thousands of researchers are working to better understand cancer right now, with the goal of developing cures for it. We’ve made progress against many kinds of cancers—for example, leukemia used to be a death sentence for children, but now most children who get leukemia survive.

I agree. Spending money on cancer research literally benefits every family.
