LOL....LOL....LOL...I'm with your wife; butter and lots of it, makes most things very good indeed.
Oh, I see, so YOU are the reason her stuffing is too dry. More stock; that's what it needs. :-)

*AHEM* I do classic, in-the-bird, seasoned stuffing made with bread CUBES, chicken stock, and some dried cranberries and pecans for flair and texture. I take no credit or blame for her pan of corn grits. And my potatoes are the best. Sea salt, butter, milk, and a LOT of elbow grease. I go a little overboard though. Blame the army. They left me with two lasting talents: stripping, assembling, and firing an M16A1/2, and peeling potatoes, I kid you not. I went through the better part of a ten pound bag before the missus took the peeler away from me. We'll be eating potato pancakes in July thanks to me. LOL

Ditto. When in doubt, add butter or broth, maybe a pinch of salt or ... sshhh ... my secret ingredient, ground white pepper.
Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry if that offends you muslims or liberals out there. Well, no, not really. I don't care if it offends you or not. I don't say it to offend, I say it as a celebration.
Now, if I wanted to offend, I'd point out that I had Canadian bacon for breakfast and I have a glass of fine Tennessee sipping whiskey, a Bible, and a 9mm on my desk.
