On the heels of the disastrous and obscene Omnibus Spending Orgy rubber stamped by the Obama Republicans in Congress last week â there is actually hope that we have turned the corner against the Republican Establishment wing of the Washington Cartel.
It reminds me of the old adage about going bankrupt â first it happens slowly and then suddenly. That seems to describe the fall of the GOP establishment. The reality they face today is totally different from the one in 2014 â let alone 2012, 2010 and 2008. And yet, without some of the efforts in those cycles, we might not be rounding these corners now.
Consider: Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% and Ben Carson â all enemies of the establishment â are getting almost two thirds of the support from Republican voters. Meanwhile, the cabal of Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) 38% and Chris Christie combine for only about a sixth of the votersâ support. And of course, Graham limped off the stage this week with less than 1 percent support. Remember, this is just a year after getting 60 percent-plus of the vote for the Senate. Heâs not even making it to the S.C. Primary now.

PING to CEW being an estab hack again...LOL
From this point forward the tail wags the dog in the GOP.
Sounds good. Yep let’s keep tightening the screws on the establishment candidates. JD Hayworth is the man BTW!
Charlie would have been better .... /s
outstanding analysis....I’m thinking that we need to start thinking NOW about how to play in DC, not just electorally. Not sure what the metaphor is which fits it best, but it’s something like winning the Super Bowl, and then advancing to the NBA finals.
Different game, different rules, etc. And in the past we have won the first game and failed in the second. Not entirely failed but not fully delivered.....
The proof is there, look at what those Rove Republicans did to our country during the Bush years. They were on an irresponsible spending frenzy....no different than Obama’s Democrats.
Both of those establishment party’s are cut from the same DIRTY cloth! It’s time for someone that’s looking out for the taxpayers best interest, IMO.
BTTT
love it. I think you’re right; they are going down and it will happen fast from here.
I read you there and love your writing. Should have taken the time to say so and then I got caught in up in the Season! Sorry about that!
Merry Christmas, dear friend.
For me this is the worst of times but the BEST of times.
TRUMP, 2016
Thank you for encouraging words and for manning the trenches.
I have been angry about politics and rampant deceit in this country since the late 1980’s. I have grown weary of being angry for so long, but I haven’t had much of a choice.
Here's hoping that the battered wife syndrome that conservatives have suffered at the hand of the GOPe is coming to an end.
Well, it’s because you keep talking about that establishment guy, Ted Cruz. /S
Good article. IMO Mississippi was the tipping point...and yep, things are snowballing. The GOPe is going down.
I didn’t know McCain is in trouble. FINALLY!
The Boehner pic is perfect, LOL.
Read, learn, expand your tiny mind.
yes, because as you know, I’m in the tank for Jeb and the estabs....
...is /s even necessary? On second thought, yeah it is these days.
Very informative. Great job. Thanks. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Rita.....
Hey kyr, you’re in a minority.....
I thought you were in the Cruz camp. But, whatever.
In any case, I saw Rove again on Fox News the other day, and they again pretended that he was a neutral observer. His take, as usual, was all about the weaknesses and non-viability of everyone not named Rubio or Bush.
His hope for the future: try to talk Jeb into NOT tossing all that money down the money hole. If he weren’t dangerous, it would be amusing listening to him.
I am in the Cruz camp - and I will support Trump over everybody else - but at Breitbart, I’m a columnist specializing in Rove and the Establishment as well as economic and media issues.
Must retire McCain! First and foremost.
