Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) took on President Barack Obama‘s recently announced approval of additional prisoner transfers from Guantanamo Bay with a reworked version of the famous poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.â€
Originally titled “A Visit from St. Nicholas,†Clement Clarke Moore‘s holiday poem has now become an anti-Obama screed that hopes to go viral with the hashtag #KeepThemThere.
“Twas the night before Christmas / When all through the White House / The President was transferring terrorists as a quiet as a mouse,†reads them poetic complaint. “The terrorists were nestled all snug in their well-guarded beds / While visions of resturning to al-Qaeda or ISIS danced in their heads.â€
