Huck, NEVER trust Politico.

Read what Cruz actually said before putting your mouth in motion!

This was not among his top three because adherence to the Constitution WAS! Marriage is NOT a Federal concern. 10th Amendment reserves it to the States.

Cruz simply wants to deal with it in the proper, Constitutional way.

Yup.

Its a dead story everywhere but in the fevered minds of leftists and a few trollish FReepers.

If the Constitution is his most important priority, then overturning the Supreme Court decision on homo-marriage should be his top priority.

His claim that it is a "state issue" is a red herring since the Supreme Court took it out of the hands of the states.

He was pandering to gay contributors. That's the bottom line.

NEVER trust Politico.

They are best monitored at distance. Any campaign that speaks to them is likely on less than a quarter of a tank.

The president doesn’t get to define marriage anymore than 5 reprobates.

Marriage is NOT a Federal concern. 10th Amendment reserves it to the States.

Tell that to AJ Anthony "Lawrence" Kennedy, the Sodomites' Choice Awardee for Most Pliable Jurist. (Kennedy's entire career was quietly fostered by closet gay faculty and California GOP gays, until he was foisted off on President Reagan as a substitute nominee for a SC vacancy.)

Kennedy made homosexual sodomy and homosexual "marriage" </cant and b.s.> a federal issue. So now it's a federal issue requiring a federal cure, and a constitutional amendment will be required to stomp the homosexual lawyers' Article IV ("Full Faith and Credit") attack on the States.

As to the source, Huckabee's speckled past includes a memorable photo of Huck standing at the speaker's podium of a LULAC convention in Little Rock saying, literally, "Mi casa es su casa", and yes, that's a verbatim quote; with Slick Willie hisseff sitting on the dais behind him, grinning evilly and looking every bit the felon and traitor that he is.

Notwithstanding all of the above, Huckabee's comment rings uncomfortably true (and I am a Cruz supporter), because it's of a piece with what we've heard people like The Impostor and Mittens Romney say and do, when speaking "candidly" to people with checkbooks in their hands.

One can only hope that Cruz was being as slickly lawyerly with that roomful of New York RiNO's as Huckster says Cruz is being with us, the Sheeple.

Let’s get something straight ...

Marriage is defined BY GOD - not the federal government - AND NOT THE STATES, no matter the Tenth Amendment.

Marriage is the life union of one man to one woman. Period.

What the “States” have to say about it means absolute SQUAT!

God is THE definer of marriage - NOT the Constitution.
