Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Wednesday blasted Ted Cruz after a POLITICO report quoted the Texas senator telling a donor that fighting gay marriage wouldn't be a "top-three priority" for his administration.
"Conservatives are being asked to 'coalesce' around yet another corporately-funded candidate that says something very different at a big donor fundraiser in Manhattan than at a church in Marshalltown," Huckabee said in a statement released by his campaign Wednesday afternoon. "Shouldn't a candidate be expected to have authenticity and consistency, instead of having to look at a map to decide what to believe and what to say?"
Cruz's stance, expressed privately to a group of moderate Republican donors in New York earlier this month, seems to contradict his public statements. In June, for example, he told NPR that gay marriage opposition would be "front and center" in his campaign. But in July, he rejected a Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality, insisting marriage is a state issue.

You keep coming up with this B.S. Trump’s position on gay marriage is this “You have to go with it. The decision’s been made, and that is the law of the land,”. Nothing about the 10th amendment. Trumps position is down dog up when it comes to gay marriage.
Here is the non-story for you. Nothing to see, nothing new. Huckster in his death throes.

It is a big nothing.
Audio at link.
If the Constitution is his most important priority, then overturning the Supreme Court decision on homo-marriage should be his top priority.
His claim that it is a "state issue" is a red herring since the Supreme Court took it out of the hands of the states.
He was pandering to gay contributors. That's the bottom line.
lolol. fried squirrel, really. I never trusted the huckster.
Huckabee is a phony and a tool of the Establishment.
Here are some excerpts in a recent article and quotes from Huckabee:
"For reasons I don't fully understand, years and years of actually doing something and getting things done didn't matter," Huckabee said of the group's deliberations. "And I don't understand that."Huckabee, according to sources, has often reminded Perkins and his fellow influencers that a major reason he gave up his Fox News show and launched a 2016 campaign was because he expected to have their backing. Their decision to instead support Cruz, then, seemed to sting Huckabee personally as much as politically. "You know, everybody has a right to do what they want to do. But it was disappointing to me. These are guys I've worked with for years and years. Many of them I've helped with their projects and their various endeavors," Huckabee says, shaking his head. A moment later, he adds, "But you know, that's life."
Are you not familiar with this non-story?
Are you waiting to hear what trump says about it to know how to think/feel about it?
Best wishes.
It is a state issue and up to a future court to return it to the states.
I’ve see that before Yeah...Rand Paul said pretty much or something similar about Cruz... Here it is.

Dec 20th,
“Rand Paul Launches New Attack Against Ted Cruz: ‘On Several Things, He Wants to Have It Both Ways’”
Republican presidential contender Texas Sen. Ted Cruz should “just admit that he changed his mind” on a variety of issues, according to Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
Paul’s own GOP presidential campaign released a new video Sunday hitting Cruz in a series of attacks on his stance on immigration, Syrian refugees and the Patriot Act that asks, “where does Ted Cruz stand?” The ad slams Cruz as “flip flopping.”
“America deserves a conservative who knows what he wants,” the new video says after featuring several news clips of Cruz floundering during interviews. “

Hate to pull a Humblegunner on you but this has been way over-posted and is a non-story to begin with.
P.S. IF Cruz is elected, you can bet that the liberals on the SC will die before they let Cruz upset the balance of power that the liberals have enjoyed for the past 75 years.
*********************************************************************************
Well, there ARE some very OLD âliberalsâ on the Supreme Court and, youâre right, I wouldnât expect them to retire a minute before they took their last breath as long as Cruz was President. But their last breaths will come, in Godâs time.
And how many many would out wait a prez Trump? Of course Cruz would nominate conservatives. Trump not so much.
That would be the same Rand Paul who was elected with Tea Party support then kissed Mitch’s behind?
This makes me lose respect for Huckabee.

You are missing the big picture. Flip flopping no longer matters.
The proof is in Trump and Hillary’s poll numbers.
A whole lot of results. ..
"About 1,650,000 results (0.50 seconds)"
Nah....it doesn’t count because the messenger doesn’t pass the purity litmus test.
Lol...we’ll see.
You are sadly misinformed. Cruz stands for the constitution and states rights.
Personally, I am worried about Muslim terrorists making surprise attacks within our country; about the growth of IsIS; about government over spending and over regulating; about unemployment; about a president who encourages racial divide... and a lot of other things.
I think your values are a little skewed.
The proof is in Trump and Hillary's poll numbers.
Whaa? LoL.
Thank you so much.
