The NBA is calling for an end to gun violence. The basketball association is teaming up with Everytown for Gun Safety to release a series of public service announcements to be televised during games on Christmas Day, the New York Times reported.
The TV spots focus on victims of gun violence, who recount their stories along with NBA players who bring their own unique perspectives.

Guns in the hands of good people reduces gun violence.
Ninety percent of the gun violence in America is carried out by NBA fans.
LOL! Then there’s this over at Bearingarms.com:

Yeah, le brawl james is gonna tell me how to act. Right.
If I watched basketball, I’d boycott. I’m just not into watching grown men running around in their underwear while bouncing a big rubber ball.
Okay NBA, take your sorry dysfunctional asses into the areas where the most gun violence happens and sell your blarney line of crap. Let me know how that turns out.
P^^%ys.
It would be a PR coup IF the NRA did join in against illegal gun violence within a strict definition. I’m not sure how they could go about it but I am sure they would be shunned and mocked but they could prove a point that the guns aren’t bad, it is the criminal that is bad.
When NBA players get rid of their guns and their armed guards then they can talk, otherwise they can shut their damn traps
And ya know... stop committing gun crimes.

I stopped watching the NBA when they stopped calling traveling violations.
Is anyone FOR gun violence?
Their ILL-FITTING underwear!
What needs to be curbed is BLACK violence.
Without blacks pulling the triggers nobody would be getting shot.
Screw the NBA.
I don't agree with this, though.
That must have been long, long ago. I had to stop looking (on the very rare occasion that I watched) because I was tired of counting, lol.
Yeah, but they’re junior varsity.
Or so I heard once......
Gilbert Arenas is gonna be devastated..and so will all the other NBA players who have committed gun crimes
That would have been when Togo Palazzi retired.
Hip Hop and the NBA—if they want to see the solution to the vast majority of gun deaths they just need a mirror. If there was no NBA or Hip Hop most of these weapons grade asshats would be convicts. Speaks volumes about how shallow and corrupt their lives are.
