LAS VEGAS (WISH) â A Southwest Airlines flight leaving Las Vegas for Indianapolis needed to return to the gate because of an unruly passenger.
According to a Southwest spokesman, Southwest Airlines Flight 717 returned to the gate in Las Vegas shortly after pushing back because the passenger refused to follow crew member instructions.
When the aircraft returned to the gate, local law enforcement officers were there waiting. According to the Southwest spokesman, the decision was made to remove the passenger from the flight based on his actions.
The flight and the remaining passengers arrived in Indianapolis about an hour behind the scheduled arrival time.
The manâs name has not been released.
I’ve visited Las Vegas many times and the flight home from Las Vegas is always the worst part of the trip!
Details will come out eventually.
I agree. I had to spend an extra day in Vegas because McCarran Airport apparently now requires you to arrive TWO hours before your domestic flight, not just one like most airports.
Something in the water supply?
Had a drunk guy puke on a flight home from Vegas. Nasty.
This guy will probably get a stiffer punishment than that idiot Conrad Hilton who terrorized a plane load of people and employees.
I’ve seen security lines an hour long in Vegas, and I’ve seen them 5 minutes long. And then you get to catch the train to your terminal and walk a quarter of a mile.
Probably wouldn’t turn off his cell phone.

...
Too bad what happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas.
I’m surprised that he wasn’t “rebuked”. There’s a word I could use a break from/
Anymore, I want to wait to see more details on a story like this before I make a judgment. This could be an obnoxious or drunk passenger who was out of control. But it also could be a Nazi, control-freak flight attendant overreacting.
