Ted Cruz is either tied with Trump or surging according to three new state polls out today of South Carolina, Florida, and New Hampshire:
POLITICO... The crowded GOP field is harming Marco Rubio and helping Donald Trump, according to three new polls of likely Republican voters taken in New Hampshire, South Carolina and in Florida that also show Ted Cruz surging.
For the first time, Cruz ties Trump in South Carolina, and he's also tied for second with Rubio in the Florida senatorâs home state, according to a memo on the three surveys, which were conducted after last week's debate.
The polls were commissioned by Associated Industries of Florida, a pro business lobby that tracks the race for its largely Republican membership.
Here are the polls:

Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to leave the GOP if Cruz is the nominee? Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to support Hillary if Cruz is the nominee? Has anyone in the GOPe threaten to run a third party candidate if Cruz is the GOP nominee? What does that tell you?
Not until Sarah Palin starts to campaign for him like she did in Texas. Sarah put Cruz over the top.
Please see my post 28.
If he faces a decent candidate and not some half-azzed RINO retread, don't be surprised if he loses.
Got a link showing Cruz pulling people in from all sides including Democrats? TIA
Cruz will pull away when Carson drops out, even if Carson doesn t endorse him, which I can t imagine.
Cruz once elected to the Senate immediately started planning his run for president. The hubris of the man is impressive even for a professional DC politician.
At that point, it won’t even matter. If the MSM/GOP/DNC machine can take out Trump, they will literally destroy Cruz. And the way they’ll do it is simple: prop up Cruz to get the nomination, and then have the donors and RNC pull the rug out from under him, and then sic their MSM attack dogs on him. Their attack will be simple: treat Cruz like he doesn’t even exist. No money for air time, ignored by the RNC, and literally flushed down the memory hole.
That’s a horribly cynical thought... and likely 100% correct!
Put the coffee cup down first, though.
Its been shown that the online polls generally favor Trump because the responses are automated and people do not have to speak to a live interviewer. Possibly because they are going to vote for Trump but just don’t want to say so.
I have to go with the mainstream polls of which almost all show Trump with a yuge lead. I just don’t think Cruz has that broad of a base of support in the party.
“I stand by my prediction that Trump will endorse Cruz.”
Well you can stand by any prediction but its better if you have some small piece of cosmic reality to base it on. :-)
That he may talk like a Constitutional conservative, but he walks like a NWO toady.
It’s a gut feeling.....how’s that? See my post 28
You might rely on some kind of cosmic reality but I don’t.
If Trump does endorse Cruz, this place will look like Jonestown.
The chances of that happening are about the same as you getting hit in a drone strike. LOL!
hope Rubio, Bush and Christie all stay in the race so they can split the Quisling arm of the Republican party.
You can say that again.
How long before the GOPe figures this out?
Yeah, but seriously the GOPe bloggers think that they can combine ALL those voters and somehow they beat Trump. “Look,” they say, “Rubio, Bush, Christie, Kasich, Fiorina all total 25% and are in striking distance of Trump!”
Cruz is 1.7% behind Hillary in the RCP average. Trump is 6.5% behind Hillary in the RCP average.
