Ted Cruz is either tied with Trump or surging according to three new state polls out today of South Carolina, Florida, and New Hampshire:
POLITICO... The crowded GOP field is harming Marco Rubio and helping Donald Trump, according to three new polls of likely Republican voters taken in New Hampshire, South Carolina and in Florida that also show Ted Cruz surging.
For the first time, Cruz ties Trump in South Carolina, and he's also tied for second with Rubio in the Florida senatorâs home state, according to a memo on the three surveys, which were conducted after last week's debate.
The polls were commissioned by Associated Industries of Florida, a pro business lobby that tracks the race for its largely Republican membership.
Here are the polls:

Cruz is “too conservative”?
I honestly wouldn’t know what to say in reply.
Deja Frickin Vu and Carson all over again.
Daily Rush and Levin programme on Baby Cruz can add some points but lack of leadership and Lawyer way of talking neutralize those point.
Telling, isn’t it?
Yeah, and Ronald Reagan was too conservative also.
Trump will eventually endorse Cruz.
Yep.
Looks like a rerun of the Cruz senate primary.
There are no visible signs of support that matches Trump. There is no real comparison and a joke, and relying on extremely liberal pollsters is folly.
Look here. Exhibit A.

I agree with every point you’re making. Trump would be a much stronger and more electable candidate. I am simply stating what I see happening.
Trump will eventually endorse Cruz.
***************
Many things are possible. But if Trump is out of the picture I personally suspect
he’ll
go all the way out and not be heard from. I just don’t see him endorsing anyone
at that
stage. He’ll be in protecting his business interest then.
Cruz is âtoo conservativeâ?
I honestly wouldnât know what to say in reply.
I do. You’re friends can’t be very conservative if they think Cruz is too conservative!
That should get him about three more sessions with his idiot campaign adviser, who has blown $50m to stay at 3%.
It means the electorate has fallen out of love with the conservative Reagan Revolution because IMO of the awful image created by the GOPe including GW Bush. It was GWB that pushed for massive amnesty in 2006 and who went on a big government tack, thus unraveling the principles that followed the Reagan faithful.
One should understand that RR was not elected to his 1st term based on conservatism. Popular conservatism came later in his 1st term after the electorate grew proud to have RR as their president.
We have a new electorate now and the process of winning them back to conservatism starts afresh. This is why I posit that a Trump-Cruz administration allows the electorate to warm to Ted who will be positioned to carry on the Trump legacy.
It’s all about regaining the trust of the electorate who have been badly burnt by so-called conservatives.
Setting aside the entire NBC question, NO ONE can recall him ever mentioning that he had Presidential aspirations while he was running for Senator. It was all about what he could do for Texas.
Yet just a couple of months after the election........
THAT, IMO, is a major factor in why people are stepping back from Cruz.
Having another freshman Senator with little private sector experience (outside of lawyerdom) wanting to run for President may have put an entirely different complexion on the matter.
Looks like a rerun of the Cruz senate primary.
Hilarious!
Not even close.
CRuz was running against Dewberry, who had ZERO support from conservatives, unlike Trump.
CRuz had the support of Palin, Dewberry did not. Sarah has spoken highly of both CRuz and Trump.
Dewberry was backed by the RINO/GOPee/Rick Perry cabal. Perry has now backed CRuz :^/
Whatever...
I’m simply saying what I think will happen.
You might want to read my other posts before you say silly things.
That’s possible.
“too conservative they say. And they’re conservatives!”
So would they not vote or vote for Hillary?
You. Just. Nailed. It.
Seeing the same thing, here.
You’re right about every point you made.
What happened to our wonderful conservative Senator, from Texas, who was going to such wonderful things....for Texas? Awfully fast path, to jumping in to the Presidential race.
The lack of private sector experience was my final straw, with CRuz (as a former supporter). That and his TPA/Paul Ryan love fest. I wonder how he’ll do in his next Senate race.
“I stand by my prediction that Trump will endorse Cruz.”
I think I agree, probably mid spring.
No they will attack Cruz through his wacky Dad and his Dominionist ties and videos. He will be annihilated.
