DOJ Claims the Right to Avoid Investigations [and Protect a Corrupt Administration]

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has no intention of reversing the Justice Department’s defiance of the Inspector General Act. She made that clear during a House Judiciary oversight hearing last month. Indeed, her own Office of Legal Counsel has issued a badly flawed opinion that insists DOJ and FBI officials can, at their discretion, withhold information from the Justice Department’s inspector general -- the individual tasked by Congress with investigating those very same officials.

One might wonder why none of the investigations into the corruption and illegality of this administration ever gain traction. Yet another case in which the administration thumbs its nose at the law in general and at Congress in particular. Congress's response... (Are those crickets I hear?)

And yet again, we have to thank the usual cast of GOPe clowns within the Senate - Kelly Ayotte, Orrin Hatch, Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, Jeff Flake, Mark Kirk, Rob Portman, Thad Cochran, Ron Johnson and Mitch McConnell - for giving us this steaming pile of human excrement.

Cruz or Trump will appoint an honest Attorney General. This should make this administration very afraid as the statute of limitations has not run out on many of their crimes. Hillary should be even more frightened.
