I suspect the Democrats figured that was an attractive feature of the plan. They want people dependent on the politicians and bureaucrats.

As I have posted before, McAwful and posse ran on a strategy that unmarried young women think with their private parts as much as do young men; the campaign was “all abortion, all of the time.” That strategy turned out to be correct. It also helped that the GOP was not-too-subtly supporting the Democrat rather than the conservative Ken Cuccinelli.

Elections have consequences, and the consequence for Virginia is that the two prime political figures are a kleptocrat and a collectivist marxist who has publicly declared his contempt for the law, despite being the chief law enforcement officer in the state.

I am finding that my conclusions about the colapse and eventual partitioning of the former USA have been far too optimistic.

A Florida resident with a CCW was traveling in MD. He didn't bring any of his firearms, yet the police in MD ran his license plate, discovered he has a CCW and pulled him over to engage in harassment to find out if he had firearms in his possession. It was an extended session of harassment and made the national news. It was possible because he was driving a car registered in his name.

My trips to VA/MD are limited to company business and always in a company paid rental car. I wouldn't drive my personal car in VA. I don't need the harassment.

They can run my plates til the cows come home and they won’t discover I have a CCW.

That’s because our Sheriff doesn’t share that information with anybody.

My wife lived in another county when she got her CCW, so the cops inquire when she’s stopped.

Idaho CCW and driver’s license carry the same number. My wife is a police dispatcher. She informs her officers of ccw status on a traffic stop. Not usually a problem.
