Restaurant owners can't require ties for male diners only. Gyms can't tell clients which locker room to use. And in most cases, an employer can't put "John" on a worker's ID if she prefers "Jane."
New York City's Human Rights Commission is establishing what advocates called some of the most powerful guidelines nationwide on gender-identity discrimination, releasing specifics Monday to flesh out broad protections in a 2002 law.
"Today's guidance makes it abundantly clear what the city considers to be discrimination," which can lead to fines of up to $250,000, Commissioner Carmelyn P. Malalis said in a statement.

You don’t have to be certifiably insane to find success as a democrat politician.
It’s just that no sane person would want it.
and hwen are they going to demand that churches and religious schools hire homosexuals on a quota basis?
On the way to becoming the east coast San Francisco.
It won't be long before it is legal for homos and trannies to walk around naked, go shopping, go to the theater or dine at a restaurant naked.
Anyone who dares complain will be facing some sort of trumped up charge of discrimination.
Leftist NY City runs on Wall Street, that crony-capitalist insider game supported by that first of progressive institutions, the Federal Reserve, and the US Government
Kind of ironic, really.
NY just had a case where a transsexual was using the opposite sex locker room where young girls and women showered and dressed etc- and women complained and the YMCA responded by changing their policy to accommodate the freak/pedophile/peeping tom
Perhaps. And many righteous, as well. And even if there were not...
Then he said, "Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once; suppose ten are found there?" And He said, "I will not destroy it on account of the ten."

There are some hot female bodies at some gyms. (I said SOME.) I’m probably going to have to go to the bathroom in one of them before too long.
Leave now while you still can.
One thing I don’t understand is men beating the hell out of freaks. I couldn’t stand to touch them. Even with my fists.
maybe... maybe there will be missions to nyc and so the good Lord will spare it yet.
nyc is about to avant garde itself into the loonie bin. without a care as to how well this works with actual people. yeah this stuff comes from hell all right.
when a nyc native like donald trump starts talking sense, we know nyc has jumped the shark and left him behind.
it’s frustration. if the frustration took a different twist it might have them doing unspeakable acts consensually with same freaks.
I’m not sure I follow but I think it’s safe to say that NYC has seen it all before. We’re not fools here, the surface layer notwithstanding.
and in the end neither one is manly. it’s an attempt to solve a spiritual problem on a King Kong level and it never works.
they have seen a lot, but THIS looney?
Opposite Day and Bazarro World combined. SpongeBob Seinfeld.
Well, there was that time I read about when the queers descended on St. Pat’s Cathedral in various states of undress...
Oh there have been scenes like that, but nobody wished it on the whole bloomin’ place.
We might wonder what would ever literally inspire “all the men of Sodom” to join together in such united ghastliness. Well maybe we’re watching early stages of that dance. Maybe the place got so bad with its government and its twisted demands, that nobody else wanted to live there, and then “purified” of goodness in that fashion, it went to hell in a handcart when the appropriate occasion came.
Probably something like rainbow lights on the palace roof.
It’s been “legal” by judicial fiat for women to walk around topless in NYC since 1992, so long as it isn’t for “commercial purposes”. An activist judge ruled in favor of “equality” between men and women in this respect after some lesbian feminists agitated by exposing themselves while playing volleyball in Rochester Park in the late 1980s.
