Chicago has always been Chicago.
Cop resigned, pled guilty to assault, two years probation.
Apologized. He was “frustrated”, not mean.
“Apologized. He was âfrustratedâ, not mean.”
Well, from the looks of things around the country, there are a lot of “frustrated” cops. This woman was lucky, he could have just shot her “out of frustration,” and the city could have avoided the payout completely.
When the taxpayers are forced to shoulder these giant legal payouts due to the agents of their local government, the administrators of their local government should be held strictly accountable. I mean, who elects the governors, mayors, AG’s, judges, etc?? And who then appoints police chiefs, hires police forces, approves and validates police training programs, etc???
In this story, the victim was ultimately awarded a ton of money from her neighbors because of whom they hired to police the town.
This is hardly the fault of one individual cop.
