Yeah....but keep in mind that per Vattel's definition of a natural born citizen (you know, the one that is under discussion in the article that generated this thread), it is the FATHER'S nationality that determines a NBC, not the mother's. In other words, Ted Cruz still - by that definition - would not be a NBC.

This mother has no allegiance to any other country.

Who would this child that is born be a citizen of.

The Child Is the citizen of the Mothers country.

But if an American Mother is married to a Non American father, the child’s citizenship is determined by the father?
