the new president can enforce existing laws as he sees fit. however to go beyond existing law with respect to the illegals, he must deal with congress.

As I see it in the future, there will by the strictest definition be amnesty. To pass, the congress will make some accommodation, we do not know what.

A conservative congress is necessary to make the best possible accommodation that the president will accept.

All true. But I don’t see Congress changing and becoming uncorrupt so this may all be a moot point ;(

I do think Trump will be the best at trying to get his plans passed, since he’s a born negotiator from a position of strength. He’s better at drawing people to his side, even with ‘controversial’ issues than Cruz, who tends to push people away (judging from his Senate accomplishment).

The country is likely toast anyway, so be prepared!
