German chancellor Angela Merkel -- easily Europe's most important leader for years, Time's and the Financial Times' "Person of the Year," etc., etc. -- made an important statement at her party's convention last week, especially notable since it came from her. Via the Washington Post:
"Multiculturalism leads to parallel societies and therefore remains a âlife lie,ââ or a sham, she said, before adding that Germany may be reaching its limits in terms of accepting more refugees. "The challenge is immense," she said. "We want and we will reduce the number of refugees noticeably." Although those remarks may seem uncharacteristic of Merkel, she probably would insist that she was not contradicting herself. In fact, she was only repeating a sentiment she first voiced several years ago when she said multiculturalism in Germany had "utterly failed."
"Of course the tendency had been to say, 'Let's adopt the multicultural concept and live happily side by side, and be happy to be living with each other.' But this concept has failed, and failed utterly," she said in 2010.
Can you imagine Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton saying such a thing about the sainted "multiculturalism"? Obviously not. They wouldn't dare risk alienating their voters or questioning their own sclerotic ideologies -- this even though Europe's problem with Islamic immigration is far greater than ours⦠for now.
Shame on Ryan. From Breitbart:
Ryanâs bill accomplishes this migrant surge by fully funding every U.S. immigration program currently in existence, as well as funding the Presidentâs expansion of the refugee program through Syrian migrant resettlement.

Is Ryno facing Mecca three times a day yet?
On my town’s little Chat list, a certified yoga teacher has announced that she will provide free classes for all Muslims.
Knowing what I do about my town (in MA), if a certified yoga teacher were to single out Christians and offer free classes for Christians, people would be ready to get out pitchforks and torches and surround her house. You can’t show favoritism to Christians. It’s ... it’s unConstitutional, or something.
But favoritism to Muslims?? Of course!! It’s “who we are”.
What a Masshole! She should be shunned by everyone in town. Like THAT will ever happen in the People’s Republic.

Talk about closing the barn door after the horse has run wild for months. Small chance of getting anything under control at this late date.
Total failure of leadership and a betrayal of present and future generations of native Germans.
I cringe whenever I here a lib say "it is not who we are". It is an overused, meaningless cliche. Paul Ryano used it the other day.
Hillary or Obama would never say this until the US implodes with about 40 million muslims. By then the damage will be irreversable.
I just have to ask-—what is truly in it for them?
When is Merkel going to convert?
Great question. To promote Sharia Law? Destruction of Western culture? Financial gain? An urge to do something evil? Some have suggested that it is secret hatred of Jews.
I can’t imagine them ever giving into Sharia Law personally, so I don’t think it’s that. I see the destruction of Western culture and killing Jews, but I think that’s gravy for them.... it probably is money in the end. Then they can move to whatever little country (Singapore) and live there until it’s overwhelmed by Islam later...
I’m just so sick of all this $#!*!!
I agree.
If I had my way, we would already be out of rope.
It is way too late for previous concepts of prevention. The ones who disappeared—both in Germany and here—have obviously run off to other Muslim enclaves, or training camps. They will be the “headless nails,” no way of finding them until they cause havoc.
I notice that the ‘deer beard’ has remained...he looks more and more islamic
nicely played
