A Salisbury [MD] Restaurant's Sign Causes Quite A Stir [says Merry Christmas and God Bless America]

DeVage's Subs and Donuts on East Main Street in Salisbury is putting its customers on notice with a new sign. The sign reads "This Store Is Politically Incorrect."

The sign further reads, "We say Merry Christmas, God Bless America, we salute our flag and give thanks to our troops, police officers and fire fighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God We Trust."[snip]

Postal worker at the PO wished me an unsolicited Merry Christmas the other day.

That's not an odd event down here in S. MS.

Even grade school teachers aren't afraid to let on that they are Christians and Pro-America.

I even had a college professor who was quick with a "God Bless You" if someone sneezed in class.

Heading into our small town to see Miracle on 34th last evening, cute play, the large light display on the main street said: Merry Christmas. There were no protesters and no one had run their vehicles into the sides of any buildings because of it either.

Made me happy!

Of course, the lesson is that oversensitivity to perceived offensiveness is impossible to sustain, if it's challenged. So, challenge it.
