Iâve never formally endorsed a candidate in any presidential primary. This time the stakes are too high not to. Look around. The world is on fire and the party of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, not to mention the GOPâs Obama-enabling RINO establishment, are playing with gasoline.
And so, while heâs been among my top picks all along, I am now proud to publicly endorse for president of the United States Sen. Ted Cruz, the man who best personifies the anti-establishment, principle over perceived pragmatism, survival over political correctness mood of the American electorate. I believe, God willing, that Sen. Cruz, a constitutional stalwart and steadfast statesman, is here âfor a time such as this.â He alone, in the spirit of Reagan v. Carter, can, in my estimation, mop the floor in the general election with Hillary Clinton (aka, Obama in a pantsuit).
Jesus warned: âIf a house is divided against itself, that house cannot standâ (Mark 3:25). Nothing has borne out this reality in recent decades like that exasperating spectacle called the Republican presidential primary. These last few GOP horse races have been jam-packed with would-be conservative and faithfully Christian presidents who, after infighting with largely simpatico opponents, have canceled each other out, limped off to lick their wounds and left the perpetually underwhelmed GOP base to stay home and not vote for âimminently electableâ establishment paragons like Presidents Dole, McCain and Romney. Divide and conquer. Thatâs how the âmoderateâ GOP establishment plays the primary.

Who is Steve, BTW?Steve Deace is a prominent, nationally syndicated evangelical Christian talk-radio host who broadcasts from Des Moines, Iowa. Deace is particularly influential among GOP voters in Iowa and his endorsement is very helpful to a presidential candidate competing in the Iowa caucuses. Steve Deace has endorsed Ted Cruz.
This commentary written by Deace and published at Conservative Review is particularly good in my opinion >>> Trump or Cruz: Which Revolution Will It Be?
So, what difference does it make? We’ve had a Uniparty for quite a while anyway. Don’t tell me these RINOs are any different than the DEMS - they aren’t. I don’t wish to enroll in any party either, but they make you choose.
There are things about each of the candidates that should give all of us pause, and that includes St. Cruz.
Well, I know someone more influential who has endorsed Trump, so there you go......
“I DO NOT WISH TO ENROLL IN A PARTY.”
I will soon un-enroll from the Republican party.
“Firstly I am not the author of this article, nor the secondary source.”
I was quoting Steve Deece who said that Trump was a lifelong democrat. He knows he is lying.
The Steve quoted in the article, Steve Deace or Deece.
I thought that might be the reference but if so, what is the purpose of a context-free, first name reference to Steve Deace on a thread entirely about an article by Matt Barber?
I read the article in full before posting, even went back over it, completely missed the Steve Deace quote. My bad.
Pretty much, yea.
“No that doesnât make him a liar.”
Well, yeah, when he says flatly that Trump has been a lifelong democrat, he is lying, and he knows he is lying. Trump has never supported a democrat for president; a lifelong democrat always does, by definition. A lifelong democrat does not attend the Republican National Convention, does not support and raise money for Republican presidential candidates, does not question a democrat president’s birth certificate.
Mike Lee, Jeff Sessions, Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz might disagree.
What a lying piece of ####! Cruz backers are getting worse by the hour. Please let it all blow up in their face.
Liar’s a bit strong. Exaggerated, hyperbolic possibly, but there’s more than a grain of truth in what he said.
“I will soon un-enroll from the Republican party.”
Do it, but it means more if you don’t make a show of it.
It doesn’t amtter if they agree or disagree - it’s a fact.
You miss the point, just nevermind.
You are insane, go take a shower.

It mattereth not.
No matter WHO is select to represent Conservatism and/or Republicans; we'll be able to control them once in office; right?
