The U.S. military said it is investigating an American airstrike that may have inadvertently killed Iraqi soldiers near the city of Fallujah.

In a brief statement, the U.S. military headquarters in charge of the war effort in Syria and Iraq said that one of several airstrikes it conducted Friday against Islamic State targets may have resulted in the death of Iraqi soldiers. It did not say how many may have been killed, but other officials said the Iraqis initially reported that about 10 may have died.

The U.S. statement said the airstrikes were in response to requests and information provided by Iraqi security forces on the ground near Fallujah, which is in Islamic State group control. It said the airstrikes were done in coordination with Iraqi forces. It said the U.S. will investigate what happened and has invited the Iraqis to participate.

Remember last month when a number of USAF said that they couldn’t release bombs without authorization from the White House?

We need to pin this on Obama because he owns it!

Sounds like more than a may have. What’s up the all the big mistakes? I hate to even call the death of all those soldiers a mistake. It’s terrible.

Hmmmn. When attacking Germans trapped in the Falaise Gap south of Normandy, many hundreds (thousands ?) of US and Brit’s were killed and wounded by US heavy bombers trying to kill the Germans facing them.

But the liberals think that “war” can be run from Washington desk tops. IS RUN from clean Washington desk tops and Power point presentations.

What’s strange is, it appears near Mosul, we hit and killed 180 ISIS fighters, a lot and then this happens.

It’s payback for the time that one of Saddam’s pilots ‘inadvertently’ fired an exocet missile at an American frigate killing 25.

Even the confession is a lie

The. Iraqis reported at LEAST 30 killed and 20 wounded
This was not a minor “friendly fire” incident
That it hit an Iraqi unit with a good record vs Daesh is suspect to many iraqis who have been calling for the U.S. to leave and Russia to step in
