Cruz tied with Hilary Clinton at 45% each. Trump losing to Hilary Clinton by 49 to 38

Reminds me of the even larger lead Jimmy Carter held over Reagan for a few months in 1980. Maybe Reagan should have just dropped out during the first half of 1980.

Reagan/Carter Polls - 1980

Glad you and others in this thread weren't advising Reagan in 1980.

First of all this is about Ted Cruz being basically tied with Hilary Clinton, despite getting short shrift in media coverage, with what little coverage there has been being very negative.
And secondly, Trump has had vastly more free publicity and media coverage than any presidential candidate in history. He has lead the GOP field for 5 months during which voters have come to know him about as much as they ever will, and he is still running 10,11 points behind Hilary Clinton and doing worse against Hilary than any of the other contenders? That is not a very good sign.

In response to your post #180..

I also remember the MSM making comments about Reagan such as, "why would anyone vote for a washed up actor who appeared in a couple of movies with chimpanzees?" ( referring to the "Bedtime with Bozo" movies Reagan mage in his younger years as an actor )
