Hagel previously hinted that the know-nothing imbecile on the Ntl Security Council.....”brilliant strategist” Susan Rice..... is the one who did him in.
It’s yet more comfirmation that policy is very tightly developed, controlled and managed from the White House (the National Security Advisor could otherwise be called a policy czar) with the Departments left to just implement, and to do so under severe oversight.
I’ve felt from the start that Obama’s emphasis on the policy czars was just a way of masking the radicalism being developed for implementation through the departments. Think Van Jones, for instance.
They’ve effectively blurred the lines between policy advice and development. Should be subject to Senate confirmation and Congressional oversight.
Why is it fairly common for a democratic president to choose republicans in the defense dept? Is it to take the guy off of the Senate and expose that seat for the democrats?
It’s always somebody else’s fault. This guy could be out-maneuvered by a 7 year old.
