GOP Sells America Down the River

So, very simply, ever since the Republican Party became the party of keeping the government open at all costs, we get bills like this. There's simply no stopping the Democrats. There's no mechanism. Every constitutional mechanism found in the power of the purse, Separation of Powers, the Republican Party years ago gave it away, in total fear of the media.

I understand.

We'll certainly be better off under a benevolent despot like Trump than under the Hildebeast, yet the die has been cast; congress is just about irrelevant to the law, and the executive branch is limited only by what it thinks it can politically get away with.

I still hold out hope that at some point, Cruz will take the national debate to a higher level, and inform the American people why the government must be reformed by them through their states via Article V.

DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT ON BUDGET DEAL

(New York, NY) December 17, 2015 “If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan. In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.

The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?

The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people. It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt. To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable. Together, we can Make America Great Again.

Great points and well written and I pray your analysis is infinitely MORE correct than mine!!

That said, I “note” that our Republican Majorities are, as evidenced by last weeks Omnibus bill, made up of about 80% Liberal’s who, to get elected, call themselves “conservative” and the nit wit, brainless Republican voters elect and re-elect the bastards time after time.

This countries problems are SO FUNDAMENTAL!!! Evidentiary point # 1 and really the only point that matters is that somewhere between 44% and 47% of people that GO VOTE are brainless, mindless, socialist, Marxist Democrats that quite LITERALLY would vote for a child molester for president if the DNC regurgitated such a candidate up for the Democratic Party’s nomination.

This 44-47% has so far prevented the Article V Convention you speak of and there is not much time left on the clock.

He has such a checkered past concerning conservative policies. He has flip flopped on more things than pancakes at IHOP.

You don't know if you can trust Trum and you likely know you can not trust any current candidate. Decisions, decisions.

Do not put words in my mouth. I trust Cruz, he has done exactly what he said he would do when he campaigned here in Texas for the senate.

Trump has not done anything to get my trust other than say ‘bomb the $hit out of them’ and ‘send them all back’.

He is not in a position yet to do anything so what is your complaint? Likely you anger has more to do with Cruz's position in the polls than his accomplishments.

Why do you make such unfounded accusations against some one. I will say one more time, I do not trust Trump, he does not have a conservative history to speak of.

It has nothing to do with the position of Cruz in the polls. Cruz has a conservative history that is verifiable.

Are you from Mars or can you just not understand the written word?

Why do you make such unfounded accusations against some one.

Do you read your posts? You are here claiming you don't trust Trump yet you have no record of him lying to you as you do for virtually every other politician, yet you trust them more.

You must have problems understanding the written word.

Please leave me alone if you cannot understand.

Please leave me alone if you cannot understand.

I understand but your comprehension seems to fall a little short. I will gladly leave you alone unless you continue with the Trump Thumping for no reason.

What evidence do you have for not trusting Trump when clearly the likes of Ryan and McConnel lie to you regularly.
