Please listen to Jeff Sessions defense of Ted Cruz on the Howie Carr Show today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8Nnt_obTRM&feature=youtu.be
I am now going to take Mark Twains advice concerning “arguing with a fool”.
Cheers.
Trump/Cruz then Cruz somebody... yeah 16 years, baby.
Take your little ass that I just handed you and go in peace.
Ok...think what you will. Vote how you will. Ted Cruz is a hero in Texas, the most conservative state in the union. I looked at your profile page, no indication where your from, but I am certain your not a Texan.
You and me both!!! He deserves highest praises. I think a call of support to his office tomorrow is in order!
trump is a big goverment, big labor, staist, crony capitalist liberal with a veneer of populism mixed with a smidgen of conservatism. He will do more damage to the Republic, because its previous guardians - conservatives - are largely won over to the charlatan, and when he jumps the constitutional rails to do something they like, they will give their continued approval.
LOL. I wish he was my Senator, just not bad enough to move back to Alabama.
Who is my god? You have no idea so don’t pretend you do. The Lord isn’t running for president.
“I will, for the first time in my life, not vote for the Republican candidate for president if trump is the nominee and vote third party.”
I’ve voted third party, twice. It’s a scorched earth tactic, employed when you think the battle is lost. Trump winning is not a loss. Scorched earth a resentful act and resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. It hurts oneself more than anyone else. I’ve seen too many like that here on FR, willing to scorch earth to their own detriment. Reminds me of this article;
Honesty versus Brutal Frankness

That is an opinion and not automatically interchangeable with fact.
Hammer Meet Nail-Donald Trump Statement Regarding Paul Ryan Omnibus Spending Bill

That is NOT what a liberal/democrat/elitist/uniparty/statist member does. Read the statement and wonder where all the other candidates are. Trump was commenting on this travesty before the statement he released today.
Interesting about where we are all from ... I haven’t looked at my profile page in 15 years but I consider myself a Texan although I now live in Hawaii where my vote may not count.
However, even Hawaiians are getting sick of democrat rule. It’s very corrupt here and there’s a fairly active Republican uprising.
TPP has not passed and won’t even be up for a vote until mid 2016.
TPA does NOT ensure TPP passage. In fact, given the strong negotiating power of the Freedom caucus, requiring House passage as well as Senate means that TPP is far more likely to fail, thanks to TPA.
Yep and told us we had to surrender our principles otherwise we’d end up with Hitlery, same BS they spew now. Bunch of phony conservatives pushing another snake oil salesman.
Sessions has understood Cruz’s actions and stance because both of them have stood together in these political moves to fight against the underhanded and corrupt ‘plays’ of the Democrats.......we are not generally privy to the ‘tactics’...rather only see the media’s take....
Just as during this primary...I give lots of room for candidates to push the envelope ....which is why it pays to see where they stand BEFORE the race begins.
Daddy was worth more than a million. More like 300 million to over a billion. I don’t know what Donny and his sibs got, and when. I’ve heard he received an initial $35 million, and blew it in his first bankruptcy, and borrowed big from his sibs and their shares of the fortune, and made good on investments thereafter.
It is my understanding that in the first bankruptcy, his own personal assets were at risk, and he lost big. But after that,he avoided putting his own assets at risk while bilking folks of billions. Great business move. Might not come off so well in the general election when the media stops coddling him.
But just having access to his father’s business savvy was worth more than any inheritance. His father was a truly great businessman, and one of the most admirable things about trump is how he learned from a great man and revered him.
I’m not criticizing him for failing. I’m just pointing out he’s had big boosts along the way (and good for him! The buildup of intergenerational wealth is part of the American Dream !) and though he seems a modestly competent businessman to be respected and admired for his business success, he’s not quite the business genius he makes himself out to be.
And over the decades, a lot of his political ideas have been wacky.
Oh, it is you again, putting words in the mouths of others. Actually, it appears that most Trumpophones actually like and admire Cruz as well and certainly want him on the team. He would be a great AG or Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The only problem with him as a VP pick is that it is an utter waste of his considerable talents.
“Iâve heard”
Ok. There isn’t any reason for you to say any more about it. Nor for me to take what you are posting about Trump seriously.
Wrong direction for burden of proof. He’s running for president. Let him prove by a couple of decades of consistent conservatism (not necessarily perfect, just nothing like a 14.25% wealth tax for two or three decades), and serve in increasingly responsible offices.
Obviously it means Sessions has actually been a closet Communist for a couple decades now/ lol
Your god is trump. He can do no wrong. Not even supporting partial birth abortion, a wealth tax, an “assault weapons” ban, and singlr-payer healthcare.
