While we were worried about Islam invading, we took our eye of the GOP.

Trump ought to send a giant Thank You note to Ryan. Nothing could be better designed to remind voters why you cannot trust anyone who is connected to the DC Cartel on anything.

They said in 1945 that FDR sold us down the river at Yalta. Paul Ryan is out to out-do FDR!

This is what sets Trump above and beyond any GOP candidate,
Trump owes nothing to special interest.

TRUMP will reverse all this Nonsense over the past 7+years.

He knows money, and he knows how things work with money, and He will take care of this sort of nonsense.

I have little use for any GOP anymore. GO TRUMP!!

I would like to hear each of the Presidential candidates comment on this bill. I am beginning to wonder if all the other goofy fights over past votes and such have been thrown out there by the GOPe to provide cover for this hideous bill. It has not received the attention it should have.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Regarding domestic policy, given that one of the very few powers that the Founding States gave to the feds to address domestic issues is to regulate, tax and spend for the US Mail Service (1.8.7), all that a federal government shutdown should mean today is a delay in mail delivery.

Patriots could argue that all other federal government services which low-information voters are now so dependent on are unconstitutional and be right most of the time.

”Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” - Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

When patriots elect Trump, or whatever conservative they elect, they also need to elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the president.

An added bonus to such a Congress is that it would probably be more willing to fire Constitution-Ignoring activist justices.

But hey, at least they can’t be blamed for shutting down the government, because that is the most horrible thing in the entire universe!

Now they can be blamed for being democrats, because that’s what they are.

Have fun next election GOPE, you bunch of asholes.

As usual Rush is right.

This outrageous deal is going to tie the hands of the next POTUS for at least two years. Be that Trump, Cruz, or whomever.

On his radio show, Michael Medved is praising the budget deal. He says he can’t understand why conservatives oppose it, and he contends that the alternative would be a government shutdown which would be more expensive.

They gave up the power of the purse. The reason they did that is because for some inexplicable reason, they are literally paranoid and scared to death of even being accused of doing something that would shut down the government.

It's explicable all right. They play scare-D-cat in order to "passively" advance the collective agenda: spend spend spend for the sake of power power power.

Pundits gotta keep up the "analysis" so they can play too. What a circus. The Big Top is gonna fall and the muslim hordes will take what they want.

This budget even gives Obamacare cover by delaying some of the most harsh aspects of it. And the reason for that is, delay the harsh aspects and you prevent people from learning what they are, at the same time you get more years for the tentacles of Obamacare to deeply weave themselves into the fabric of society, making repeal of the thing more politically difficult. So you could also say that the Republican budget bill actually improves the odds of Obamacare surviving and growing. You have to look long and hard for this whole thing to find any opposition to anything the Democrat Party wants.

GOP Sells America Down the River

They've got a bridge to sell.

Rush assures everyone regularly that the Republicans aren’t as bad as the Democrats...He’ll have credibility when he refuses to support the likes of Jeb, Rubio, Christie, Kasich and Ryan. He always finds a way to pretend that this is a Democrat only problem

When you surrender the power of the purse -- and that's the primary power the House of Representatives has. Not a penny of money can be spent in this country by this government without the House of Representatives authorizing it.

When I voted to elect a Republican congress in 2010 and 2012 and 2014, I believed I was going to see a halt to most of Obama's agenda because the GOP would cut the purse strings.

They didn't. They didn't even make a good try at it.

Everyone of them was afraid the media would trumpet "Republicans shut down the government!!!"

First of all, the media, as it is currently constituted, needs to be murdered, and second of all, we didn't lose that original fight. Nobody really gave a sh*t when the government shut down. People didn't care.

But the media made it seem like a great disaster, and the crony Republicans claim to believe that it was.

The Republicans should have shoved the power of the budget up Obama's Obama, and broke it off.

They are pathetic weak losers and they need to be tossed out of office.
