Vladimir Putin has described US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as an "unquestionably talented" man.
"He is a very outstanding man, unquestionably talented," the Russian President told reporters after his annual news conference on Thursday.
"It's not up to us to judge his virtue, that is up to US voters, but he is the absolute leader of the presidential race," he added.
Mr Putin also described the property billionaire as a "very flamboyant man".

OTOH, Russia and America shouldn’t be on opposite sides of the ISIS issue. The only reason we are - is because Obama wants to interfere with Syrian leadership and useful idiots like JEB! and Christie want to start WWIII over an issue of regional dominance (that we had, but Obama gave away).

Trump has just received an invitation to meet with Vlad and become a the de facto American power broker.
the message is that Obama is relegated to the trash heap of history and the world wants to go forward before there is an actual election and transfer of power. Trump’s word will stand in his stead for the time being
Obama was just beat severely about the head and shoulders with a history book. He is the first president to lose all his power on the world stage a full year before his term is up
Putin did not endorse Trump - Putin went out of his way to state his not endorsing anyone. All he said was Trump is a "very outstanding man, unquestionably talented".
If Putin said Trump was a billionaire business tycoon - that is not endorsement either. It's a statement of fact.
