Russian president Vladimir Putin has endorsed the controversial candidate He described Donald Trump as 'outstanding' and 'unquestionably talented' Putin was holding an annual press conference from the Kremlin in Moscow The Russian strongman also accused Turkey of currying U.S. favour After staring down months of opposition and criticism, U.S. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has finally received a rare piece of ringing, unequivocal support.
Unfortunately, it comes from the provocative and confrontational Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Today Putin offered his thoughts on the Republican party nomination for the White House, and offered nothing but praise for the billionaire businessman. He said: 'He is a very outstanding man, unquestionably talented. He is the absolute leader of the presidential race.'
Putin went on to describe him as 'flamboyant', and claiming Trump wants to move to a 'deeper level' of relations with Russia, added: 'How can we not welcome it? Of course we welcome it.'

I am supporting Trump first and Cruz second.
Actually, Putin is rating fairly high among Americans these days vis a vis his actions in the Middle East. Jus’ Sayin’.
People are going to have to get into the negotiation crowd that is speaking with Trump, if they expect to have some effect.
There are excellent cases to be made for reducing government and leaving many things either to the people or to the states. Less waste. Greater efficiency. Freeing people to do jobs that are actually productive, not sinecures. But someone is going to actually have to make them, not in a teapot tempest like FR, but to Trump.

Yes, we are hoping and praying that we get a strong leader. Times are tough and we're going to need someone tougher.

Do I “like” Putin? No. Do I “respect” Putin? Definitely yes. He is one to keep an eye on.
It easy to contrast the element of leadership when there is an wanting supply of it in this country.

The reason is that Reagan was totally transparent. He said what he meant and meant what he said. Carter was a mealy mouthed weasel about whom they could never be sure.
Will Cruz supporters feel the same way if/when Putin praises him. Russian or not Putin is not stupid and anyone with IQ above 70 would see Cruz as intelligence and capable. I would rather our President be respected than laughed at continuely.

True enough... maybe some are foreseeing a “Trump” of God. There is so much to his story (and Cruz’s, and maybe even other contenders’) to play out.
