The time has come for desperate measures against the Oligarchy.
Mitch McConnell is safely ensconced in the Senate Majority Leader position, for the Establishment and its donors went all out in 2014 to protect him.
And we know the Establishment and its donors will do the same to protect Paul Ryan. They will work to destroy anybody to dares to run against him in a primary. And then they will just say "too bad, republicans, it's Ryan or the democrat."
Therefore, the conservatives in Paul Ryan's district can do the nation a service by voting against him in November of next year, and not just by withholding their votes, but by actively voting for the democrat.
Even if not defeated, Paul Ryan will be significantly weakened in his position, prompting others to rise up and run for speaker in January, 2017.
We must do all we can, and only the conservatives in Paul Ryanâs district can do it.
And before I am accused of being a shill for the democrats, I ask that you think about all the Establishment donors who said that if Trump or Cruz is the Republican nominee, that they will vote for Hillary.
That’s what I intend to do with my Senator and Congressman. If I can’t get their opponent in the primary, I will vote for the Democrat in the General. I really despise both of them.
I said, “Every veteran I know,” so you apparently don’t move in the same circle veterans as I do, and I can tell by your defense of Paul Ryan, you aren’t a veteran either.
No, you run an alterntive genuine comservative candidate and vote for him.
I’m pretty sure i’ll end up voting for democrats after I’m dead.
Sure. That worked in Mississippi.
Does WI have open primaries? If so there’s no point wasting your time running a conservative. The GOPe will just buy the dim crossover votes.
We threw out Cantor in a primary. You can throw out Ryan.
All the multi-national weasels need to be Cantorized
yes.
but it is not always that way. if the democrats have important primaries, they will vote democrat. in our primaries, they are open, but you can only vote for one party. you cant vote republican for one race and democrat all the rest, it invalidates the ballot.
Yep.
A respectable candidate who doesn’t get the vapors talking to groups or being on TV + 25 to 50 volunteers + 5 to 10 grand = 5 to 10 points taken away from the RINO and he loses.
It’s automatic.
Mississippi was a primary.
In the general election none of those tricks work.
The poster suggested getting rid of Ryan by running a conservative in the primary. I was pointing out that the GOPe, in open primary states, had no problem ‘reaching out’ to dims to put their guy ahead.
Cantor’s loss taught the RINOs one lesson: please your donors enough to get more bucks to spend on the primary and spend it.
Because beating Ryan in the primary would take some actual work.
The dim primary in MS was boring. Lots of them crossed over and voted for the GOPe guy.
They knew the GOPe guy was just the same as the dim anyways.
He didn’t say ‘primary’ so I assumed he meant the general like the OP.
Cantor spent close to $2 million to Brat’s $200,000, it can be done
If the GOPe pulls shenanigans in the primary like they did in MS it only makes sense to vote for the dim in the general.
I agree. Ryan the Rino sucks.
That was chickenfeed to Cantor.
He didn’t go all out against Brat. RINOs learned from his loss to go all out in the primary (see Miss.).
And that’s all they learned.
Paradoxically they now do more to please their donors and screw their electorate as a result of Cantor’s loss!
At least IMO it seems that’s what they do- to get more money from their donors to fight off primary challenges.
