Like many families, the Obamas will head home to celebrate the holidays, but odds are their flight will cost slightly more than your typical Christmas airfare.
According to Judicial Watch, it costs aproximately $206,000 per hour to operate Air Force One. Factor in the 18 hours of round-trip airtime, and it looks like the Obamas’ Dec. 18th flight to Hawaii and return after the New Year will cost an astounding $3.7 million, with American tax payers footing the bill.
Earlier in 2015, President Obama took three “unnecessary†golf and family vacations, costing tax payers $3,115,688.

The amount of income taxes paid each year by taxpayers that own a home is roughly $14,000.
So, just the plane tickets for Obama’s little vacation are going to cost roughly the entire annual income payment of more than 2,500 hard working Americans.
Yeah,it might be worth it if it was promised to be a one way trip.
For the record, the Reagans spent every Christmas at the White House for precisely the same reason as the Bushes. The Reagans went on Christmas vacation after the holidays instead.

Whatever was he thinking? But on the bright side, better to find out now rather than after monumental mistake #2 for American voters who aren't driven by the tribal African culture. Ignorance and leadership are mutually exclusive.
Whatever bright hope Carson inspired in most of us has, for me, totally dissipated.

He has always referred to Chicago as “my hometown” which never did make any sense to me. When he completed his education in the Northeast, he returned to “Chicago, my hometown”.
He did not grow up in Chicago so how could it be his hometown? I left my hometown 60 years ago but I don’t refer to the place I lived after that “my hometown.” Where I grew up is still my hometown....
One can hope this flight will be featured on the ‘ Air Diasters ‘ show in the future...

It is absolute mayhem when he is there. I have a studio and office not far from where Little Lord Obamaleroy stays. The entire south end of the island will shut down when he goes out for his shave ice. They close the Likelike and the Pali, and if he takes the Likelike they shut the H3 just for good measure. It has been 7 years of nightmare with this clown
I’m sure someone in Congess will introduce a bill that would force presidents to pay for all of their vacation travel out of their own pocket.
Not until a Republican is in.
