The public also trusts Republicans over Democrats when it comes to immigration.
According to PEW, the public supports Republicans on guns by a margin of 43 percent to 37 percent. Regarding the “terror threat,” the public sides with Republicans over Democrats 46 percent to 34 percent. On the economy they side with Republicans by a margin of 42 percent to 37 percent.
The public supports Republicans over Democrats by a slimmer margin on Immigration, 42 percent to 40 percent, but it is one more area where the American public looks to them instead of to Democrats.
Regarding the public’siding with Republicans over Democrats when it comes to guns, the different approaches of the two parties are stark. Republicans reacted to the San Bernardino terror attacks by focusing on border security and mental health, whereas Democrats reacted by wanting to expand gun control and introducing a ban on the manufacture of AR-15s and related weapons.

And yet the most untrustworthy candidate from the party they can’t trust stands a better than even shot of winning.
Strange times.
What about global warming????? /s
So Republicans win by 5 points in the general issues category, but we are supposed to believe that Hillary can win? Yep, the echo chamber that is DC is insanity codified.
And yet the most untrustworthy candidate from the party they canât trust stands a better than even shot of winning.
Some Americans are slow learners and some NEVER learn.
Not surprised, but I still wonder when they’re going to take a closer look at Trump’s support among rank-and-file, blue-collar Democrats. I know it’s only a relatively small sample, but I live in W. Pennsylvania, where a lot of very conservative people (who think they’re Democrats) live and I can’t name a single one who would support Hitlery.
It takes a lot to get the average American pissed off enough to pay attention, but that line has been crossed.
Why would 40% trust Democrats on immigration? Polls show 60-80% of the population is opposed to an increase in immigration why on earth would they support the Donks?
No what is happening is Hillary is pretty much invisible right now. All the focus is on the GOP. Once the GOP has a candidate Hillary will have to start campaigning. To know Hillary is to loath her. She is a horrible candidate and the American people will be seeing a lot of loathsome from her between now and Nov 2016.
A lot of them treat their Unions like a church and will always vote like they are told.
Are there seriously any other issues at this point? I'd call that a trifecta.
The union bosses might promote the Hildabeast, but I believe a lot of union tradesmen will vote Trump.
Might even vote Cruz, simply being strong against illegals and terrorism.
and the GOPe will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...
So voters trust thr GOP on Terroism, Guns and Economy. The three biggest issues we have. Yet Hillary leads all GOP candidates in recent head to had polling.
This country is beyond stupid.
“Why would 40% trust Democrats on immigration? Polls show 60-80% of the population is opposed to an increase in immigration why on earth would they support the Donks?”
Simple. A large number of people still get their information from the media cartel, otherwise known as the propaganda arm of the Democrat party.
I think your wrong. Have faith. We have some great candidates this time ;)
Immigration is the one that will defeat Hillary and any other Democrat...

They didn’t support Obama either in 2012. But Romney was such a bad, elitist candidate that they stayed home.
You are absolutely right about the Trump/Reagan democrat connection. Trump is a cultural phenomenon. He speaks the language of blue collar workers and that is why most of his support is “moderate” R’s, UAF’s and Reagan Dems. The GOP-E is embarrassed by blue collar workers. They have to get over that if they are going to win elections.
No one’s taking Hillary on yet...
When our guys switch focus and take Hillary on about immigration, she’s trumped - - her bid for President’s over when that discussion starts.
[[PEW: Americans Trust GOP Over Democrats On Guns, Terrorism, Economy]]
That’s all swell and good, but the gimmedats don’t care about all that- they just want ‘free stuff’ and hellary is the one offering free stuff- We saw America vote for ‘free stuff’ twice- I do hope however we’ve learned our lesson- but it remains to be seen
