There were âsmiling facesâ from the crowds exiting the Los Angeles premiere of The Force Awakens on Monday night. Amongst these, presumably, were Disney executives ecstatic that the $4bn they paid George Lucas for franchise rights looks to have been a sound investment.
Initial reactions from all three screening rooms where the film was shown for the first time â as well as from social media â suggest that JJ Abrams has the chops to please both critics and fans, and that The Force Awakens may well recoup at least half the $4bn by itself.

You think NF will carry it? We have it and there’s nothing but crap movies on there.
The wording of your first response indicates you believe his opinion is not valid and that he has a stick up his butt. How do you know your assumption is correct?
There are other ways...
“Or live in a fantasy of denial.”
Well, fantasy is part of entertainment. Good for you! You’re making progress!

I remember Carrie Fisher from the first Star Wars movie.
My first thought was “she is really not that pretty but for some reason she does appear sexy”.

Actually, Star Wars got, three, bad reviews, including one famously bad one, but in general critical response was overwhelmingly positive.
Not every trip to the movie theatre needs to be for "Schindler's List."
cleanse my eyes!
Same thighs, btw.
