It’s called dimorphism. It occurs in many animals that engage in sexual reproduction, to include mammals, birds and insects, and even in some plants.
By having the two sexes differ (to be sure, not completely, and given the variation in individuals, there can be an overlap), the species is capable of a wider range of capabilities.
Most obviously, females tend to be nurturing. And, males aggressive. This is better for the species. Makes the species more capable. If Ms. Streisand wants to complain about this, she should talk with God.
As to whether the differences we needed to make it to the present still mean something today, clearly not as much. For one thing, we now dominate the planet. We have things like guns, so we need not fear any creature. We can dam rivers, cross oceans in ships, and travel into space. We can wear warm clothes and live in heated spaces and, so, can inhabit even the arctic regions. We are amazingly awesome. So, while you’re criticizing God for how he goofed up when he made us (and most other animals and so forth), maybe you should consider the good as well as the bad.
As to whether any of this justifies men using their strength against women, or women using their sexual attractiveness to manipulate men, I say no to the first, and “it depends” to the second

I think Babs’ opinion is the same as Carlie Brown’s teacher’s, at least it has always sounded the same to me.
