Politics aint beanbag. They’re going to have to take the gloves off sooner or later. Looks like Cruz came out testing his left jab first. And drew back a stump. He’s gone back to his corner now to think it over.

Well here’s the thing.

Nothing Trump says will compare to what the Dems WILL.

And harrumphing on FR or talk radio isn’t going to make it go away.

People demand Trump get a “thicker sin”, then may I suggest the political right do the same, because after the primaries, the media isnt going to care what any of us thinks unless you are ready to get dirty, NOT CLASSY.

Jim, I don’t get it. I have asked over and over and over from trump supporters...tell me something, anything prior to when he announced he was running for President (as a Republican? still don’t get that) that shows he has a single sincerely held conservative belief. Here are the responses I’ve received:
1. watch The Apprentice, you’ll see (really?)
2. he’s created an enormously successful business, therefore he’s a capitalist, therefore he’s a conservative (ask Bill Gates about that)
3. He supports veterans (just like Dems do when they need their votes)
4. JimRob supports him and that’s good enough for me

I saw that you had posted a brief list, but even that made me say, “huh?” because you had things on your list like he raised successful children. You have enormous sway here, Jim. And while I, like you, support the things that Trump has SAID and the issues he’s highlighted, we have nothing to base any faith that he is or will govern as an actual conservative. And, in fact, we have volumes of evidence that he will govern as anything BUT a conservative. And as Rush has cited here today, his attack on Cruz was from a LIBERAL point of view. Is that really what we want and really all the more we hope to dare?

Given how Trump usually works, Cruz should count his blessings over Trump not going straight to the crotch kick first.

Trump must have a soft spot for Ted.

And the content of Trumps counter punch shows he’s no a conservative. I think Trump’s usefulness is running out.

Ah, no, he didn’t draw back a stump. The attack was such a wild swing that conservatives just laughed. Sen. Cruz’ response just echoed the laughter of conservatives. “She’s a maniac! A maniac...”

You know Jim, there is a growing and more emboldened group of people on the forum that don't quite understand that Trump is not a Liberal, and liberals are not supporting him.

The poll that shows Trump at 41 to 16% over Cruz reveals something else.

Please check out who the self-proclaimed Very Conservative and Somewhat Conservative people voted for in this poll.

It's on page two in a box with vote breakdown.

This is going to be a rude awakening for those who think only moderate Republicans support Trump.

Trump: 41 - 45

Cruz: 26 - 8

Right next to it is the Tea Party vote, self professed strong Tea Party and Soft Tea Party. Yikes.

Trump: 52 - 41

Cruz: 29 - 12

Trump's biggest support groups are the ones that are dead center of what this forum is supposed to stand for, Conservatives and like-minded Tea Party members.

I wish the Cruz folks could come to terms with that.
