Donald Trump is losing to Ted Cruz in Iowa, and he thinks it's yuuuge problem. A Des Moines Register poll taken over the weekend has Cruz up 10 points on Trump, “a 21 percentage-point leap that smashes records for upsurges in recent Iowa caucuses history.”
Trump is hitting back though in typical Trumpian fashion. Seizing leaked comments from Cruz at a meeting of donors as an excuse to go on the attack, Trump took to twitter to vent.

And on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Trump called Cruz “a little bit of a maniac.”
Ted Cruz has thus far refused to respond in kind, even using Trump’s criticism to poke fun at himself.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tiding but the new Monmouth Poll out today says Trump 41% Cruz 14%. Worrisome to say the least.

And, you don’t even have the courage to defend your position that you were a Trump supporter until this moment.
I am a Cruz supporter. I see Rush as waving a clashing red light at Trump, to STOP before he goes over the edge. Cruz and Trump both need Rush at this stage. The attack on Scalia was SO unnecessary, and I don’t think Trump knows how awful it comes across. I was surprised that Trump thinks there is a problem with calling a liar a liar, ESPECIALLY one who welches on a deal. Course correction time for Trump.
Like your master, you mistake insult for argument.
I never said I was a Trump supporter. I have said over and over and over again that I would not vote for Trump because I would not vote for someone who did not support Kim Davis. I have never budged from that position.
What I WAS, was a semi-supporter. I was not anti-Trump. His Scalia comments in particular push me to the anti-Trump category.
But don’t let my words get in the way of your imagination. I am sure you can twist my thoughts and positions better to fit your Trump is the Greatest narrative.
