Love him or hate him, (IMHO) Rose belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I know my stance is not popular, but I have been in pro locker rooms. The rules are stated clearly. Everyone sees them, every time they enter or leave the room.
Gambling will ruin the game. Especially when managers are involved.
My position on this remains, the day he dies he should be voted into the hall. His accomplishments deserve that. His behavior excludes him while he is alive.
I know it sucks for him. But he knew the rules and he chose to ignore them.

And he will be... after he has died. He knew he faced a lifetime ban if he gambled on baseball. He knew the consequences and decided he was going to do it anyway. He will never see himself inducted. But I am sure he will be put in after his passing.
Actions have consequences, and this is a firm reminder.

I love baseball - and refuse to go to a live game or the Hall of Fame until he is in.
So chances are I saw my last game live in 1990.

Charlie Hustle should only be inducted in the HOF after he dies. He should not be allowed to give a HOF induction speech.

I would like to see Shoeless Joe Jackson in the Hall before Pete Rose is given serious consideration.

He should never be allowed in ever, even after he dies.
His wagers involved his own team while he was manager. That goes to the heart of baseball’s integrity. It’s hard to think of anything worse.
Never ever ever.

Love him or hate him, (IMHO) Rose belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame. I could not agree more. This is a simple grudge, one that'll likely last until Rose dies, simply because Bart Giamatti can't reverse his decision.

He does deserve to be in the baseball hall of fame.
They can induct him after he dies.

This is 100% irrelevant to the Pete Rose situation.

Love him or hate him, (IMHO) Rose belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame.I always hated him. But I still don't think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Maybe a Hall of Shame.

I support MLB on this one. Gambling damned near ruined baseball. That’s why the rules prohibiting it exist. Rose knew that when he was placing his bets. I like the guy and loved the way he played but that doesn’t change anything in my mind.
