Same here.
Cruz as VP is a waste.
Either Cruz as president, or he should stay in the Senate where he can actually accomplish something.
Not really, Trump is so bold that he hardens those opposed to him to the point that they will never support anything he wants done even if he compromises. Cruz is not attacking Trump because he wants his support when he gets the nomination and he wants Trump supporters to feel good about supporting him.
It makes no sense for Cruz to attack Trump and it is not "beta" behavior, but it is great tactics applied to a clear strategic plan.
Cruz would be a much better supreme court nominee than a VP pick.
-— Cruz fans are more populist than they are conservative -—
Uh, no.
And another thing. I thought this article would never end.
You don’t try and take down an 800 lb guerrilla until you’re well armed. (yes, I understand the difference between guerrilla and gorilla).
The two candidates have adopted very strategic and effective strategies. It’s not played out yet.
I don’t trust Cruz right now, I don’t believe anything he says right now...and it’s going to take some time for me to think about it...
Sorry, but Cruz has never attacked anybody that did not attack him first. He is a gentleman and stated he’d run that kind of campaign. He responds to those who attack him, but he doesn’t just go after anybody. He will differentiate himself from the policies of others, but he has only gone after Rubio, and that was AFTER Rubio misrepresented his positions and why.

Yep, and I notice that Cruz hasn’t even bothered to counter-attack against the pathetic Jeb Bush (whose PACs are feverishly attacking Cruz and Trump in omnipresent attack ads) with his anemic poll numbers.
Amazing this guy can write some decent stuff, and then, utter gibberish.
In a nutshell, it’s Iowa!!! Cruz and Trump, who wins? If Trump can bring to the caucus those who don’t normally caucus, Trump wins. If Cruz brings his voting block (evans & conservs), Cruz wins.
That’s all there is !!! It has absolutely nothing to do with “Alpha and beta males”, and everything to do with the respective campaign ORGANIZATIONS.
Now, for Cruz, with Iowa effectively a month away (holiday pause), and given that Iowa is now yours if only your Iowa organization can out perform Trump’s organization, why would you want to create tangential issues?
[[Cruz wonât attack Trump, but why wonât Trump attack Cruz?]]
Because they play bridge together?
Cruz would eviscerate him. I'm sure you remember the cnbc debate. None of the candidates squawked a about the stupid, demeaning, questions until Cruz called the moderhaters out. If Trump goes after Cruz he'll get some publicity at the start, but Cruz will slice him up with his liberal/progressive history.
Your in never never land...wake up!!!
Cruz would be a much better supreme court nominee than a VP pick.

Cruz would be a superb supreme court nominee or a superb VP pick or a superb presidential nominee.
Whether it’s Trump or Cruz who gets the Presidential nomination, it will be ESSENTIAL that the nominee picks a true constitutional conservative as his VP running mate.
In today’s world, with its insanity in the Islamic and progressive populations, you never can rule out assassination attempts.
We will need 12 years to undo what Obama has done, and to change the hearts and minds of children coming up through the Godforsaken public school system.
4 years of Trump, 8 of Cruz.
I disagree.
Cruz as President of the Senate, actually exerting the constitutional authority and restoring constitutional order could be a game changer.
This would be about the best Trump could hit Cruz with. It might get some headlines, but the real heat would come when Cruz responds. Trump's Achilles heal is his lifelong liberalism.
At this point I'll believe Trump when he claims to be a conservative now, but I still have the opportunity to support and vote for a conservative who has always been a conservative and hasn't changed even though he's been under constant attack since going to DC.
I think they absolutely have some kind of understanding.
“Trump â whoâs really not even pretending to be conservative at this point”
Really? All of his policies are not conservative? Deporting illegals is not conservative? A moratorium on Muslims is not conservative?
Cruz supporters keep trying this tired line, while Trump’s positions are more conservative and more aimed at helping Americans than Cruz’s.
He has proven he ain’t no good at attacking. Stellar. He hasn’t touched Rubio.
