They both have an, “Understanding”.
Trump/Cruz
Ted Cruz is being shrewd and I laud him for it. I want Cruz to be the nominee, but I’ll take Trump over HRC — and that’s who will be President if the Republicans alienate Trump and his supporters.
Cruz as Vp is really a waste of talent for at least 4 years.
I’d rather he stay in the senate.
Cause Cruz isn’t importing plane loads of America-hating killers? Just a guess.

I say Trump and Cruz have agreed to be a team. They can do it in the GOP or they can go Independent. I don’t think either one likes the major parties and I think they want to break the game wide open.
Trump is a far better choice to bring down the damned GOPEers, than Cruz is.
Trump does not attack first.
Sorry, but Cruz has never attacked anybody that did not attack him first. He is a gentleman and stated he’d run that kind of campaign. He responds to those who attack him, but he doesn’t just go after anybody. He will differentiate himself from the policies of others, but he has only gone after Rubio, and that was AFTER Rubio misrepresented his positions and why.
I still don’t feel comfortable with any of this just yet...maybe in a couple of weeks, I have to see how this is all going to play out between them and this article:

We’ll see.....
That “understanding” is plainly obvious to anyone who cares to look.
It’s going to be Trump/Cruz 2016
Trump doesn’t need to, and Cruz doesn’t want to at this point. A little needle from both sides yesterday, but Cruz is right. The establishment would love to see a cage match and I don’t think Cruz or Trump will instigate it. They will just watch each other closely for sure, though.
If he were Vice President, he would be in charge of the Senate.
You are exactly right, Trump is a counter-puncher, and a great one at that. Cruz completely understands that and therefore will not be goaded into throwing a punch.
I understand your point, and can't say that you're necessarily wrong.
However, there is a lot that has to be done to restore America to its greatness and it core Constitutional and founding principles.
I think having Cruz inside the administration could have great value in helping Trump clarify his vision to "make America great again." Whatever anyone thinks of Dick Cheney, he certainly had a lot of influence on the policies of the BW Bush administration.
I think Cruz could be equally instrumental in influencing President Trump, if it came to that.
Not to mention that it would make Cruz the presumptive nominee at the end of Trump's term.
I think being in charge of the senate would be very appealing to Cruz while he waits for 2020. He knows the senate needs fixing.
Why—Their in Cahoots!
