that lazy lawyer who stood in front of the supreme court and was in charge of thousands.
That worthless Senator who stood up to republicans much more than one time and said many things that Trump has said before he said it.
I like Trump, but his name recognition gave him the lights.
Cruz filibustered and the republicans won both houses. Which was worthless, but still.
And McCain dislikes him, which makes him a STAR in my eyes.
That comment your replied to was the most..well..i dont want to speak too ill of other FReepers.
The NYT is baiting TRUMP. That is why they were trying to make this interesting. They want to force a fight. Trump and Cruz both know that, and have stayed out of the way of the other.
Trump has nothing to gain by cracking Cruz. After all, Trump has no need to punch down without reason. He is the front runner after all.
And, Cruz has a lot to gain by behaving well. He wants the Carson voters, and the slim chance at Trump voters.
“This was the LEAST smoking gun in the history of the world.”
I agree. All it did is make me more comfortable with Cruz as my second choice after Trump.
A bit of hubris, but there was never a politician otherwise. The rest is reasonable campaign strategy and extrapolation. Guy is smart and intends to win. Well, yeah. So?
I was all in for him when he ran for the Senate, wanted him to run for the presidency, but now I am 100% for TRUMP and shan't change my mind; especially after today.
And the reason is their are only 3 good senators: Lee, Sessions, and Cruz. The rest should, literally, be hung for treason.
No way is Cruz getting the Trump voters; especially the black ones !
Trump talks a lot of crap. People like crap talkers. You go right ahead and vote for Trump.
Exactly. Didn’t hear him say a bad word about anybody.
The other candidates could learn from Cruz how not to alienate voters
Oh I'm voting for Trump and have convinced many, many, MANY others to do so too. So put THAT in your pipe and smoke it; kid.
Listen to the tape... Still on the fence for Cruz, and this don’t help.
It’s politics, but Cruz does come off as a bit arrogant and schemey here. Cruz always had a Frank Underwood aspect to him... He’s the smartest guy in the room and he knows it but that hubris can bite you in the butt.
“...Cruz does come off as a bit arrogant and schemey here.”
He is running for POTUS. I don’t want someone who walks low, or does not scheme.
Scheming is paving the road for success.
yawn.
I was pulling a double secret behind the back troll job on a vicious attack. Lewislyn jumped over the edge. Oh well, we all get a little cantankerous wen we are trying to preserve our country.
wen=when (face palm)
I’m with you. Trump has his finger on the support. He knows he’s tapping into a truly silent majority, who can not (for various obvious reasons) say that they support him. Blacks, Hispanics, evangelicals, and, I read a headline a couple of days ago, where he is working up an approach to labor! Suits me just fine.
I see he’s been around since the beginning. So I will show him due respect.
But i vehemently disagree with his statement.
Cruz swooping in and stealing Trump and Carson’s support is great politics. Cruz openly telling donors(who can’t be trusted) his plan is just dumb and arrogant.
I like Cruz he’s a fighter who puts his money where his mouth is... But stuff like this wont help him, especially with the folks in Iowa.
The corn lobby already got their guns trained on him. He’s has to be more careful.
bad monster.
Good point.
