At one point he did say that. On The Factor in September he said, when cautioned by O’Reilly that there was a danger in taking in Syrian refugees in the U.S.:
“I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, you have toâ€
“But you know, it’s living in hell in Syria. There’s no question about it. They’re living in hell, and something has to be done.â€
I can cut Trump a bit of slack for flipping on this one because we had the SB massacre after that but he is not, as some Trumpsters like to think, omniscient. Good for him for wanting to ban all the sand people immediately after though.
If Trump had back stabbed Cruz behind closed doors, the Cruz supporters would be very upset, but it seems Saint Cruz can do no wrong.
Evidently some of Cruz supporters didn’t like the backstabbing.
