Ole Miss is attracting attention for renaming its annual holiday celebration to make the event more inclusive for members of the university community.
"A Grand Ole Christmas," the university's annual campus tree-lighting ceremony, will now be known as "Hotty Toddy Holidays," according to Kay P Maye, who handles special events for the Student Activities Association

Just had the Christmas concert at the high school here and all songs , including Jesus were proper Christmas songs.\
Old Miss stopped calling themselves rebels, tried to ban Confederate flag and now this. The board has been taken over by liberal lunatics
Also, needs a trigger warning ("Hot Toddy") for alcoholics.

The UW affiliated hospital I work at will be having a “Winter Party” this year.
I have to wonder how many spineless administrator types will be changing the way holiday parties are held this year ‘cause they don’t want to “trigger” somebody like what “happened” in San Berdoo last week.

So, we’re going to see them avoid calling anything ‘Hannukah”, or “Passover”, or “Ramadan”, I take it? I thought not. Who’s funding this stupid place now, the rich fathers of Saudi Arabian students?
My high-school aged daughter toured Ole Miss and Mississipi State U. last summer. She just could not bring herself to go to a school with a cheer of “hotty toddy!”. She will be saying “Hail, State” next year. I hope that they continue to push academic competence and employability at MSU.
The whole thing is plain stupid and yet there are students who have been so brainwashed they can’t see how looney all of this is.
It is Christmas, recognized as a Federal holiday, the birth of Jesus Christ.
Yet liberals state there is no war on Christians and yet only target Christian business like the homosexuals do and target Christian holidays.
I went to State many decades ago. She will love it. She chose the best school in MS. : ). Hail State.

The really frustrating thing is, I’d bet that a majority of the students couldn’t care less either way, as long as they get to party. It’s that apathy that’s allowing the few big mouths to set the agenda. (And the stubborn support of Ole Miss feetsball fans, and the nostalgia and support of alumni who can’t or won’t see what’s happening today). Either that, or my conspiracy theory may have some truth to it, that Ole Miss is getting some decent funding from the parents of muzzie students, both foreign and domestic.

Exactly right. My oldest boy is going to graduate and he tells me how most of the kids at school could not careless about anything other than their own all about me lives. That as you stated lets the handful of lunatics set the agenda.
