Vladimir Putin has praised the Russian cruise missiles fired against terrorists in Syria from the sea. He expressed hope that these weapons would not have to be armed with nuclear warheads.
Meeting in the Kremlin with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, who reported the latest results of the anti-Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) ops in Syria, the Russian president made a notable remark.

To mention that you hope not to use them is to mention that you may have to use them.
....waiting for the media to blame this remark by Putin on:
Donald Trump Sarah Palin The NRA Religious conservatives Rush Limbaugh George W Bush
I think it is more a statement that they are that committed.
That is also a warning to the dabblers on the fringes too.
USA should have Nuked them already.....problem solved.

Trump has made Putin go insane, too!! Hahahahaa
Yes, but, Obama has, for some reason, that needs discussion, been holding back.
Well, Vlad, it wouldn’t hurt if some sailor ‘accidentally’ got the warheads ‘mixed up’, now would it, hmmmm?..................
He’s effectively saying, “I WILL use them when and if this becomes a bigger problem.”.....................
YEP
tell them to knock it the F off or we nuke mecca
Oh Come On , just a few small ones
Vlad is such a Bond Villian.
I’d rather that US did this when we have a conservative (R) in the WH. In fact, I would enjoy knowing that we’ve been on the “right side of history” since Hiroshima. I can’t think of a nicer bunch of radical Islamic extremist terrorists to have been the target of our next nuclear strike. The third time is the charm. Let’s do this thing!
Next thing you know, Putin will be threatening to nuke the Saudis directly. It’s obvious that Russia is feeling the low oil prices. Time to screw those prices down some more. The banksters can continue putting the loans to oil production as long as necessary, until Russia begs for food again.
Absolutely stunning.
He is serious about this to.
Oil and gas revenues are Russia's life line and pretty much all that keeps it's economy afloat. If the oil revenues stop flowing, Russia's economy tanks.
An economic attack on Russia's oil revenues are viewed by Putin as being as damaging as a Nuclear attack and the Arab oil states want to break up Russia's oil and gas monopolies and steal the business.
The back story to the whole Syria/ISIS as well as the Ukraine story is the fact that the Arab oil states have been using Jihad and the Jihadi as mercenaries further their ambitions to expand their oil business at Russia's expense.
One of the reasons Putin went into Ukraine was because their oil and gas infrastructure in that country and in Russia itself was being threatened and sabotaged by oil stated supported Muslim separatists , presumably at the direction of those states
Syria is a similar situation
The Arab oil states want Assad gone so they can build a pipe line through Syria to supply the European oil and gas markets and effectively break up Putin's European energy supply monopoly.
Putin is serious about Nuclear weapons.
Everyone mocks Russia as being militarily weak and unable to fight a sustained conflict due to economic constraints and this is probably a fairly accurate assessment.
Russia does have a devastating arsenal of nuclear weapons that are more than capable of destroying ISIS and Russia is also more than capable of holding any third parties accountable for the actions of their ISIS proxy army
He should've nuked them when they took down the airliner!
I hope they have neutron bombs, so we can get our tanks back, after we remove the dead jihadis.
LOL - yes, let’s ‘hope’ that’s not necessary....]
Umm, bye bye ISIS...
Tell Vlad not to forget Medina.
