Yes, because a bank is just going to go ahead and lend $28.5 to a man making $50K/year. Happens all the time. Just put the money in his account because of on account of how he asked, right? A mortgage loan would not be made with a deposit directly to his account.

On or about Nov.20, Fox News is told Farook converted $10,000 to cash, and withdrew the money at a Union Bank branch in San Bernardino. Afterwards, in the days before the shooting, there were at least three transfers of $5,000 that appear to be to Farook’s mother.
I wonder if the bank filed a CTR for the 10k?
