The State of the Union plays on every channel and nobody watches. The Super Bowl airs on one channel and everybody watches. This likely plays as the rationale behind President Barack Obama scheduling an address ostensibly on terrorism right before the start of the most-watched football game of the week.

What was up with the Colts-Steelers being called in Spanish last night?
I had to chuckle.
NBC went to the football game IMMEDIATELY after O said ‘goodnight’.
ABC only spent about 90 seconds of comments before returning to regular programming.
The O seems to have lost his luster with broadcast media.
Bottom Line, his “address” to the nation was worthless, nothing new, same old “Ban Guns and respect Muslims” stuff.
Well, to be fair to the general populace they did not really need to listen to Sultan Hussein speak. All of his adoring sycophants in the mass press instantly leapt into action to tell us what a brillliant address it was as soon as he utters is last “uhh’” just as they always do.
Yeah, I don’t think I’ve watched a speech from him since his first state of the union. I call it a “sanity-preservation measure”.
I watched the BBC’s Graham Norton Show. Can’t stand Obama’s voice, face, or existence.
If his speech could wait until a week after the San Berdoo killings, then it wasn’t important enough for him and certainly not for me.
Me either. I want to tear out every pic of him and Clinton from every history or other book there is. Those 16years we were without a president. Red marker an X on their faces.
I used to grab the remote as soon as Bill Clinton came on TV.
Obama inherited my fine tradition.
Yeah. The folks at Harvard who are upset because someone put black pieces of tape over a few framed pictures would have a stroke if they knew what we would do to the Obama/Clinton visages.
???
All I heard was the so-called English from Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth.
Maybe the audio on your TV was set to SAP?
No, all commercials and breaks were in English. Just the game was in Spanish.
will do.
