He even hates us in the Oval Office.
Or at least disrespects us, thinking that if he doesn't give us one more condescending lecture on how great Muslims are that we're going to start lynching them.
Republicans are bad, Muslims are good, let's not talk tough.
And, no, we're not actually going to go and fight the people who are at war with us.
That's what Barack Obama said last night. Long past the point that everybody stopped listening to him, he is speaking more and more and saying less and less. And what he is saying has become completely predictable.
He presumes we are savages and lack the mental capability of understanding that the hatred of militant Islam for Christians and Jews is not rationale for being suspicious of our Muslim doctor. He seems to see Americans as mouth breathers who, in response to ongoing attacks by Muslim terrorists, are about to go mob their Muslim neighbors.
Oddly, the traits that seem to predominate across the Muslim world are traits he sees in the American people. They genocide their religiously different neighbors and we get a lecture on being tolerant. They shoot up another roomful of unarmed Americans and we get told how great they are.
And how we need our freedoms restricted.
Last night he takes an act of foreign-inspired terrorism and twists it into a reason for restrictions on the rights of law-abiding Americans. They shot us, so we can't have guns.
It seems that the best response to Muslim terrorism is Democrat talking points.
But I don't recall the French being fitted for new gun laws after the Paris attacks, and I don't recall FDR using his fireside chats to tell America how great Japanese culture was.
Yet last night, the supposed president of the United States told us we needed more gun laws and more respect for Islam.
He blissfully overlooked the fact that one Democrat agenda item -- banning the sale of guns to people on the terrorism watch list -- contradicted another Democrat agenda item -- kissing up to Muslims at every opportunity. It turns out that people with Muslim names face a high likelihood of being mistakenly identified by the FBI's terrorist watch list, and the most recent Senate audit shows that when wrongly put on the list, 72 percent of the time people can't get off the list.
There is no clear understanding of how people get on the list, or any due process to get off the list, or to truly distinguish yourself from a potential terrorist with a name like yours, and any gun purchase requires an additional traditional FBI gun-purchase background check. That means the likelihood of denying a law-abiding Muslim a gun is high and the likelihood of selling a gun to a law-breaking terrorist is low. That means the ban is a bad idea, but Obama pushed it anyway.
While ignoring the fact that the San Diego terrorists were in unlawful possession of the rifles they used in their attack. Under California law, the person who supplied them with the rifles could not legally do so without an FBI background check, which wasn't performed.
For good measure, Obama also called again for a ban on the sale of so-called assault rifles.
All of which means he interrupted Sunday night TV to pitch the same Democrat claptrap that is getting Hillary beaten by Trump 46 to 41.
It was a bad week for Obama's worldview. As the evil in San Bernardino became clear, America saw that the Muslims were bad guys and the cops were good guys. Both those things are contrary to Obama's core beliefs.
The murderers were drive by religion and the police were driven by integrity.
The more we learned about the terrorists, the clearer their motivations became. And the more we learned about the police, the clearer their motivations became. There were two butchering hogs, and an army of brave, selfless heroes. From the plain-speaking chief who told us directly and candidly what was going on, to the deputy in the hall who assured officeworkers he'd take a bullet for them. The dozens of officers of every size, shape, color, gender and age, each acting with professionalism and selflessness to protect the innocent and bring down the evil.
After a year of White House-driven contempt for police, here was some reality interrupting the narrative.
And here was the president who six months ago said the police were too militarized, and ordered the Defense Department to take back surplus armored vehicles given to the police -- armored vehicles that were used to bring down these terrorists and the terrorist who attacked the Planned Parenthood office.
In San Diego, neither the Muslims nor the cops backed up the president's stereotypes.
And Americans don't back them up either.
We are not a rampaging mob incapable of differentiating between our peaceful Muslim neighbors and their cousins in militant Islam. And we are not a herd of sheep willing to be disarmed in the name of protecting us.
Last night the lecturer in chief told the Islamic State caliphate that he would not send troops against it, and he lectured Americans about our manners and our guns.
We were scolded to respect the rights of Muslims, while being assured that surrendering rights of our own was only reasonable.
Which all goes to show that, honestly, he must think we're frigging idiots.
I kept wondering before his chat, how many seconds would pass before he brought up the racial aspects of the victims - about 20 seconds. — why he always does this confounds me
Obama shouldn’t be...... any longer
I love that cartoon. Look at the “Day of Infamy” speech; 0bama could never give it. It’s not in him. Look at the orders issued from and to our commanding officers during the war.
“Execute unrestricted air and submarine war against Japan;” - Admiral Stark, Chief of Naval Operations, December 7, 1941.
“Task. You will enter the continent of Europe and, in conjunction with the other United Nations, undertake operations aimed at the heart of Germany and the destruction of her armed forces.” - Directive to Dwight Eisenhower upon appointment to Supreme Command of Allied Forces.
Very direct orders, not subject to a lot of wiggling. 0bama is not capable of giving them.
Actually, he said some very unusual words, for him... he actually said words like “radicalized Islam” and “terrorist attack”.
This scares me. Badly.
For them to start using these words means that they are out of spin, and what is coming will be so much worse that there is no way they can sugar-coat it.
So they are preparing us now.
The author repeatedly mentions San Diego...what happened there?
Just imagine President Roosevelt shaming and condemning Americans for their outrage and anger by suggesting that Emperor Hirohito and his cabinet of imperial war lords donât reflect the values of the vast majority of Japanese citizens, and that expressing such outrage and anger will only make them madder at us. Further still, imagine Roosevelt flinging open the borders and demanding that Americans be disarmed â particularly those on the West Coast. Utter madness.
Of all the fireside chats this was the only one taking place next to a dumpster fire.
“”And what he is saying has become completely predictable.””
It’s the only thing he never lied about. He told us he was going to be transparent and he is...definitely!
It gutted his planned speech, he went to party with the celebs and left us to watch the Steelers destroy the Colts.
It was a speech about nothing, and what's scary about this is the narcissist-in-chief isn't being worshiped as he would like. This will not sit well with the purple-lipped jug-eared thin-skinned effeminate little prick.
Oh, that was funny. :)
No kidding.
I think he meant Obama - not Londonberry...
I was wondering about the podium in the oval orifice (with apologies to Rush) myself. It was noticeably different and strange compared to Odumbo’s past addresses (and those of earlier Presidents) when he sat at the desk...maybe that was the point? For most Americans, the OO desk is a symbol of the importance and gravity for the subject matter being presented...maybe, Odumbo was physically signaling to Americans or to his ISIS comrades that the topic is not important to him and he will remain soft on terrorism? Since he did not announce any significant changes to his approach to ISIS, it appears the most important thing to him in this speech was scolding Americans for their guns and for their bigotry against Islam!
I don’t think anything has happened recently in San Diego. The author must be under the misconception that San Bernardino is in the San Diego metropolitan area.
That cartoon is perfect. I hate that man with every fiber of my being for what he is doing to this country.
What terrorist attack happened in San Diego?
Exactly right. That’s a fact that many overlook.
“”While ignoring the fact that the San Diego terrorists were in unlawful possession of the rifles they used in their attack.””
“”The author repeatedly mentions San Diego...what happened there?””
Boy! Am I glad I’m not the only one who is perplexed by that. I know I’ve been avoiding the news but I do catch up occasionally and whatever it was sure slipped by me...
Yeah, how did him standing help his message of Kiss Muslim Ass No Matter What? I could have heard that crap from him sitting.
