Maybe you're a liberal, reluctant to accept Charles Krauthammer's conclusion that President Obama's speech on terror tonight was a "complete failure." Fine. But there's no getting around Richard Engel, whom no one would accuse of conservatism. Speaking with Chris Matthews on MSNBC, NBC's chief foreign correspondent bleak assessment was that President Obama laid out "the same strategy that hasn't been working for last several years."
After a point-by-point takedown of Obama's weak tea, Engel concluded "the course of treatment that he laid out for this sick patient with cancer with no immediate cure does not seem like an incredibly strong prescription." Ouch.

Krauthammer called Obama’s speech a “complete failure.” But even liberals can’t around Richard Engel, who said that Obama “laid out “the same strategy that hasn’t been working for last several years.”
January 2017 can’t come too soon. Hopefully it won’t come too late.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Ionizing radiation is often used to cure cancer.
Just sayin’.

Don’t blame ObaMao. Blame the person who told him what to say. Probably the real president: Valarie Jarrett.
Obama’s an ideologue, and a not very smart one at that.
He only knows the same old propaganda, and he believes it himself.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t going to listen because I find Obama VERY HARD to listen to. I did listen. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. He showed quite a bit or restraint. That doesn’t mean I trust him one iota. Just saying it was better than he usually does. I don’t agree with him on anything still, but his meanness toward everything I hold dear was toned way down for a change.
He still wants our guns and thinks we are all a bunch of bigots for being worried about terrorism.
He fails to point out that NO OTHER RELIGION is openly allowed in countries where islam is dominant. It is simply NOT allowed. So, his entire premise is based an raw hypocristy and the man is a liar. He is endangering this nation and must be summarily impeached.
I hear you, but IMHO Obama was cornered and really had no choice.
If he had doubled down on “this could be workplace violence” and “Islam is the religion of peace” gibberish, it would have been the effective end of his presidency and virtual doom for Hillary.
That’s the way I saw it ,too. There’s a lot of light between the New York Daily News and New York Times vs. Obama on this. He didn’t say the NRA is a bigger threat than “ISIL,” which is basically the line they took. I’m sure he was well aware of what happened in the French elections today before he chose his final text.
Doubling down on the same old bulls#it
Even liberals are throwing in Obama’s rag head towel. The “emperor’s” clothes are FINALLY gone!
I didn’t hear anything about dealing with terrorism. All I heard was the leftist narrative about shutting up, and not telling the truth about Islam. It was a canned speech that resembles memes on FB. Obama’s weak, anti American and 1st Amendment speech was a vote getter for Trump.
“January 2017 canât come too soon. Hopefully it wonât come too late.”
Ah. Well said.

Hopefully, it was the coup d’ gras for both.
About time.
There are few people more in denial about what’s happened and is happening with ISIS than Obama. He’s the least likely person to come up with a policy or strategy that effectively deals with ISIS. For him, changing course means admitting he’s been wrong. He’s too vain and arrogant to do that. Plus he really believes the enemy is a flash in the pan. Why if they’d just hear his voice and read his two memoirs written while he was in his youth they’d swing over to his side and fight global warming.
Obama’s weak tea
It’s what you get from an empty chair...
I believe that Dinesh D’Souza has Zer0’s number exposed: Abandoned by his black father before birth and his white mother by age 10, BHO’s founding fathers include: Communist Frank Marshall Davis, Palestinian radical Edward Said, Brazilian Socialist Roberto Unger; revolutionary preacher Jeremiah Wright & terrorist Bill Ayers. It has created an ideology that has shaped Zer0’s effort to kill America by a thousand stripes.
Zer0’s statement to the nation does nothing different. It is the same old failed policy that will allow ISIS to grow. By flooding our nation with ISIS terrorist with the Trojan Horse of refugees, they will be strong enough to threaten America’s economic stability. A few thousand mass killings of Americans will overwhelm our ability to protect the security needed for an economy to succeed. And that my friend is Zer0’s ultimate aim: in order to remake America he must first unmake America.
I am assuming you realize EVERYTHING he says is totally structured to bring HIM a maximum political benefit. There is nothing he says at any time which is designed with the considerations of the electorate first and foremost.
Obama made this speech essentially in an attempt to stop the bleeding because his “do nothing” policies have come back to slap him and his Party in the teeth. The speech will change nothing. Obama still believes it doesn’t matter what he does or does not do but only what he says and that we the people are to stupid to discern the difference. In many cases, sadly he is right.
