Three people were stabbed yesterday in a random, unprovoked attack in an east London Tube station. The Metropolitan Police said that they are investigating the knife attack as a "terrorist incident." There were reports that the assailant yelled "This is for Syria" during his attack.
The assailant, 29, was subdued with a stun gun and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at 7:14 p.m. Saturday in the suburb of Leytonstone, London's Metropolitan Police said.
Police had been dispatched to the station after receiving emergency calls reporting that a man had stabbed people and was threatening others, police said. The man threatened officers as they tried to reason with him, a statement said.
Police are looking into reports that the suspect yelled, "This is for Syria," during the attack, said Chioma Dijeh, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police.
One man, 56, suffered serious knife injuries in the attack and was taken to an east London hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
A hashtag, #YouAintNoMuslimBruv, which an onlooker yelled at the attacker, trended on Twitter for much of the day Saturday and Sunday.
The public has been urged to "remain calm, but alert and vigilant" with the possibility of more random attacks.
Let’s all turn in our arms to prevent such attacks here.
Yeah.
Right.
Some Londoners are saying the knifeman was intending to behead this older man, but could not.
These are the ‘pitiful refugees’ that Obama and Merkel want to dump on civilized people.
What we’re doing isn’t working.
We need to go hardcore.
Make the terrorists fear us more than we fear them. I’m talking Ultra Violence. I think governments should condone street justice. Open Season. Make these people want to go to their home country, because living in the West is too terrifying for them.
Workplace violence!
Too bad the British aren’t armed. They could have gone Bernie Goetz on the jihadists.
See post 8.
You probably remember this, one of the most shocking things I’ve seen. A British soldier beheaded,

and not in the middle east—in Woolwich, UK.
I used to bore FRiends about the danger of carrying a gun with a round in chamber.
No longer!
`Condition One’ hot and ready to draw while exercising all due caution.
Jeff Cooper:
Condition 4: Chamber empty, empty magazine, hammer down.
Condition 3: Chamber empty, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition 2: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer down.
Condition 1: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety on.
Condition 0: A round chambered, full magazine in place, hammer cocked, safety off.
The next horrific scene will be another soft target. Terrorists are cowards who surrender or shoot themselves when challenged.
Props to my fellow Americans ready to defend themselves and others, serving as silent “sheepdogs” for our fellow citizens.
So... we know the age of the terrorist (29), but not his name?
The Brits now have a hashtag called “You’re no muslim, bro” which is based on what some passenger said to the muzzie. That has been passed around now and Brits are celebrating how “British” this is. They think this is a response to terrorism, I guess. Probably the same people who rightfully scoffed at Mrs. Obama’s hashtag diplomacy.
Nah its not terrorism, just workplace violence. The guy got some really bad Pita bread and just went nuts, nothing to do with Islam people, moving on, moving on, now hand over your guns
No worse or stupider than ‘lets roll!’.
And it was ‘You aint Muslim, bruv’. No, we aren’t celebrating, I guess British people are glad to see not all young Muslims are fanatics, and that the young unidentified guy is in a basic way standing up for decency and democracy, and as to terrorism, we have dealt with it a lot longer and worse than the US. We don’t need to be told how to combat it. In fact, we (and others like Israel) can teach others how to face it and defeat it. And how to live with the threat of it daily.
Wrong, we have bad gun laws and guns aren’t as part of our culture as the US (nothing wrong with either, just different), but there are 4.1m guns here legally. Mostly shotguns and rifles.
What is bad is that the idiot, err I mean uninformed voters really believe this.
Every time a British thread, the scotsman gets a ping! Sort of a dark version of George Bailey and Clarence. Actually, I didn't tell your people anything. I was expressing amazement that a hashtag could in any way be described as "so British" and therefore something helpful and admirable. If you had read the entire thread before going postal, you would have noticed I dragged in The Moocher's name in exactly the same way. Are you a ginger by the way?
you probably have to look at a British Newspaper to find out the name
I will never forget that incident. It seems a lot of world leaders have found it quite easy to ‘forget’, as they import unvetted Syrians against voter wishes.
I have the UK section of FR bookmarked and check daily.
No, my use of the word tell was a general reference. Nobody bar Israel has had to deal with terrorists as long and hard as we have. From homegrown political fanatics to the IRA to the Mau Mau and EOKA, from Scotland to Hong Kong and Malaya. From the Fenians of the 1800s to this nutcase last night. Some sort of terrorism either at home or in the colonies has always been a part of being British. I gre up with decades of the IRA, INLA, UVF etc and now Islamic terror.
I read the thread fully, just making my point. The crux of the remark is his use of the slang word bruv. Its ironically humorous to us Brits. Oh and no I am dark haired.
