President Obama will discuss the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings and the broader threat of terrorism on Sunday night in a rare prime time address from the Oval Office.
The address at 8 p.m. will hit on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and how the terror threat has "evolved, and how we will defeat it," according to the White House.
"He will reiterate his firm conviction that ISIL will be destroyed and that the United States must draw upon our values - our unwavering commitment to justice, equality and freedom - to prevail over terrorist groups that use violence to advance a destructive ideology," the White House said in a statement. The speech will come less than a week after 14 people were killed and dozens injured during a shooting in San Bernardino, which is now being investigated as an act of terrorism. It is also less than a month after the terrorist attacks in Paris, for which ISIS claimed responsibility.
Obama called the California shootings an act of terrorism earlier in the day and said it is possible the two shooters were radicalized. But during a briefing with national security aides, Obama was told there were no links yet uncovered to a broader terrorist cell.
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has increasingly encouraged lone wolf attacks. Authorities said the female suspect in the shooting pledged her allegiance to the terror group in a Facebook post.

I’ll be sure to not turn on my TV; altho, I rarely do these days.
I imagine all the networks will cover it. We won't be able to escape him.If Obama interrupts football, I'll turn off the TV and get in some dry fire practice with my CCW pistol. I usually do that during commercials anyway. If the Secret Service is reading this, I promise to use my usual target on the wall with the TV off. :-)
I figure a little extra firearm training is more likely to help me protect my family against Islamic terrorists than anything this jackwagon in the Oval Office has in mind.

I think there should be a test.
One channel should run a cat litter cam, and all the other channels run Obunghole’s little speech or whatever, and let’s see who people choose to watch.

He needs to continue to spin this as gun control rather than muslim control.
Nobody believes it but he will anyway because it gives the media clips to propagandize with for days.
I expect some executive order confiscating guns. Obama will risk pushing the country into civil war to further his political agenda.

Fox has all their animated new shows so they will be most affected I think.
ABC has all new programming but they will start late I guess.
He is definitely screwing with all the networks. I think most will start their programming late and continue late. NBC is in a pickle due to the game so I don’t know what they will do. You can’t start a game late I don’t think with all those ticket holders in the stands. Obama is a jerk. Why not just be on Sunday morning shows?

Blame Bush is the top of the order. I still can’t believe the amount of idiots still saying that Bush caused ISIS when he has been out of office 7 years....that is almost a whole decade for goodness sake.
