Ted Cruz Is the One Candidate Who Can Face down Washington — And Win [NRO!!!]

To protect American national security we must first understand what threatens American national security. We must grasp who our enemies are, what animates them, and how they work together - despite their internecine rivalries - to destroy us from without and within. We must stop trying to define "true Islam" and start restoring our own principles as our guide: liberty, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, and peace through strength.

The vast majority of Americans still believe in these principles. It is Washington that has lost faith. It is Washington that looks at liberty's enemies and sees friends; that looks at anti-Western Islamic supremacists and sees "moderates" it can play ball with; that looks at lawbreakers and tut-tuts that "the system is broken."

Reinvigorating American principles will require taming Washington. It calls for restoring the Constitution as a vital limit on government, not a relic...or an obstacle. Ted Cruz gets this. Many Republicans talk the talk - we hear it in every election season, right up until it is time to stop campaigning and start governing. Senator Cruz walks the walk. That is why I believe he should be the next president of the United States.

>> “What’s your plan to win them with Cruz?” <<

Family security will put Cruz in firm control all over the country.

The terror attacks have made the job impossible for all of the other candidates, and it will continue to get worse, leading up to the first voting, which will be an H-bomb in Cruz’ favor.

Other issues, like gay marriage, cross-dressing boys in girls locker rooms, and general loss of parental control over school conditions, will be huge in the 2016 election, and all of those issues are tailor made for Ted Cruz.

What on earth are you going to do on election night when Trump runs the table? I hope there is not a third story on your home or we will spend half the night talking you down off the roof. :-)

What does the President have to do with any of those things?

You seem to know all the answers. How come Cruz is polling a distant 2nd or 3rd in all the polls? Is it part of his plan to be so behind he can never catch up? :-)

>> “On the ground in NH, things look good right now.” <<

NH is nut case country. Anything can happen there, but they are very liberal compared to most of the country.

Trump has zero chance with real Reagan aficionados. Reagan gave us instant substance, while so far Trump has just blown smoke that can’t fool a real commonsense voter.

What Romney did is totally irrelevent. He never even tried to win anything; he was wearing practice gloves in every “debate.” Cruz is energized and more cognizant of the relevant facts on every issue, and will call out every lie, and every excuse, wherever he may be speaking.

The U.S. Department of Education reiterated that stance Monday, when it informed Illinois' largest high school district, Palatine-based Township High School District 211, that it violated Title IX, the federal law that bans discrimination on the basis of sex, by prohibiting a transgender student from using the girls' locker room.

Not for anyone I know.

Trump has never gotten a single vote in his life.

We have an established election winner; not a squeeker, but a winner by resounding margins. We’re going with him, party leadership be damned; there are less than a thousand of them nation-wide.

Cruz has no failures, and your loud lies won’t change that fact.

If you prefer a circus clown, just admit it, OK?

You’re hallucinating again.

Trump will run nothing. He’s never won an election in his life. He’s never gained a single vote in his life.

He is above 60% in negatives, and nobody that has had even 40% negatives has ever won the presidency.

Trump will make a try at the Dem nomination; who knows, he may even win it, but he can’t win even one debate against our candidate.

Polls???

There hasn’t been a single vote taken yet.

Primary “polls” are nothing but carefully crafted propaganda.

The MSM would love for Trump to be the GOP candidate, which is why they keep him afloat, and won’t go ten minutes without bringing him up, to keep his name high and visible.

Telling that so much of the decision making process is left to feelings and intangibles. I detect a pattern, no?

A disappointing pattern.

If Teddy was at 36% right now and Trump was at 14% you would be declaring victory. The polls are usually pretty accurate. Especially when its not even close.

If Cruz was polling at 25% in every national poll that would be a different story. The problem is he is competing with Trump for the Cason votes. Trump is getting a good share of them so its hard to see how Cruz catches up. I guess we will see in 58 days.

We have an election winner that we are going with.

You haven’t been watching. Various pundits have been for various candidtes. Rich Lowery has been a big supporter of Sen. Cruz since he was solicitor general of Texas, and supported him as the insurgent candidate against heavily-favored Dewhust.

“You are full of nasty stuff!”

This is the kind of stuff a person with no argument posts. You I have noticed are particularly prone to it.

Its not looking good for Ted Cruz and it never really has. So as a Cruz supporter can either say well I’m for Cruz but he has a lot of ground to make up to catch Trump or you can say out of desperation “You are full of nasty stuff!” :-)

Is it just me, or are the Cruz supporters on FR, some of the most obnoxious and angry people on here? Amazing that many of his supporters embody so many of the qualities of the left’s supporters.
