**SNIP**
It is a moral outrage and a national disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed specifically to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency. These are weapons of war, barely modified and deliberately marketed as tools of macho vigilantism and even insurrection. America's elected leaders offer prayers for gun victims and then, callously and without fear of consequence, reject the most basic restrictions on weapons of mass killing, as they did on Thursday. They distract us with arguments about the word terrorism. Let's be clear: These spree killings are all, in their own ways, acts of terrorism.
**SNIP**
Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership. It is possible to define those guns in a clear and effective way and, yes, it would require Americans who own those kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.

As if, NYT — as if.
As if ALL muslim Islamic terrorists would give two hoots about any gun laws as they made their radical plans to inflict Jihad anywhere in the US.
I’m SO sick of this. Get off our backs. WE, The American people, are not as stupid as you people. We like ourselves. WE like our lives, our families, and our country. We want to defend it. We’re not giving up our guns.
So go suck it, NYT.
You nailed it.
Putting aside acts of immigration driven terrorism, the left has succeeded in rotting American culture to the point where spree shootings are common. Then they seek to use their destruction of our culture as an excuse to restrict our fundamental rights.
These people are our enemies.
Dear Editorial Board,
The hijackers on 9/11 did not have guns! So dissolving the right to keep and bear arms would have the same result - thousands of dead people. No, your reasoning does not follow logic. The truth eludes you because you reject it for your damned political agenda.
Thank you, Randall.
F*** New York Times!
Well said. Thanks.
I occasionally visit RATS underground to check on what this country's enemies are up to. Most don't tolerate anti-gun threads and do their best to shut them down. Turns out even the fringe does not enjoy being infringed upon. Kinda makes me wonder who I'll be standing next to at the upcoming gun show.
Not even libs want gun bans. There is a very vocal Elitist minority who want this. That is why I correctly observed that it is Elitists versus US, not even Lib vs. Conserv.
Depends. I expect a full on campaign for slavery reparations, possibly to include confiscation of 401K and IRA assets next year.
“End the global beheading epidemic.” -fixed it.
Once they are all completely silenced we can weigh the results for a certain trial period, say 100 or 200 years, before considering discussion of the 2nd Amendment and the rest of the Bill of Rights.
While the "Miller" decision was essentially incomplete because nobody from Miller's side showed-up to make their arguments, the decision implied that "weapons of war" are those most protected by the Second Amendment.
No problem. I hope it helped.
Please let me know if you need anything else or hit any snags during the process. I’ll be around all night. Working graves this weekend.
Thanks so much.
End the NYT disgrace.
Try it out first on a possum, raccon, tree rat ot cute little bunny. I have a mop, vaccue cleaner and a broom in the laundry room that my old wife left in my house yeas ago. They are old and dirty. My mom had those also but I didn’t take the time or effort to learn anything while I was around Her. I’m unsure if they are dangerous or what to do with them. Instead of looking at them as simple tools, I will apply irrational fears to them and act illogical towards them. What should I do?
Please, oh please, let the NYT writer be at the head of the spear that comes to take my guns. He/she will be headed to the funeral home in a very reclined position!
