When Jeb Bush goes down, heâs taking the rest of the GOP field with him (except Donald Trump). That, at least, is what will happen if Mike Murphy, the head of Bushâs super PAC Right to Rise, gets his way.
Right to Rise has $75 million in the bank, and Murphyâs not going to let it go to waste, according to Politico:
According to another source close to Right to Rise, Murphy has been floating another tactical shift to potential supporters, suggesting that he might spend the bulk of the $75 million to carpet bomb Rubio, Cruz, Carson, Christieâeveryone but Trump. The thinking: making the race into a binary choice between Bush and Trump might be the only way a majority of primary voters go with Bush.

If true, the GOP is toast.
If Jeb is nominated, the GOP is still toast.
What’s the diff?
Moreover, unlike most electoral cycles, ad dollars have had precious little impact.
Bush has spent big bucks...and lost ground.
Cruz has spent next to nothing...and is gaining ground.
Trump has spent almost nothing...and leads.
It has potential...Depends on how many voters would rather see Trump loose compared to how many would like Bush to lose...
Potentially, somewhere around 65 percent of voting Republicans would like to see Trump loose...If Bush is the only other option, who knows???
Trump 97%
Bush 3%.
What a moron this guy is!
Exactly. A tactic like this would backfire and cause Trump and Cruz to gain more support from those who are sick of the Washington Cartel. Mike Murphy, you’d be better served taking that $75 million, pouring gasoline on it and setting it afire.
That is exactly what happened to Barry Goldwater.
“Potentially, somewhere around 65 percent of voting Republicans would like to see Trump loose..”
What planet/alternate reality are you posting from?
I saw my first Yeb! ad tonight.
His ads suck as bad as he does as a candidate.
The Cheap Labor Express is wasting their money.
So by your logic somewhere around 80% of voting republicans would like to see Cruz lose.
This is ridiculous. Nobody wastes $75 million. And nobody would believe he would have that affect. Bush is toast. Trump has this in the bag. If a stray bullet finds him, it won’t be Bush that benefits at all. Bush is not in the top four anywhere.
Bush is Rubio with baggage. Rubio is a Rino. But he, Carson and Cruz will fight it out. Bush is not in the running.
Frankly, I think Trump will get the nod. Rubio will be VP (hoping to deliver Florida and the GOPe). And Cruz will be AG. Maybe Bush gets a post if he wants it. But I think he doesn’t.
The one where lose is spelled loose
Trump will not put an amnesty pimp on the ticket.
He’s not stupid.
That's the plan. These are two card carrying members of the Uniparty Uberclass.
One is supposed to cover for the other.
Yeb is truly nuts now, and Mike Murphy HAS to be just trying to drag out his hefty paycheck from the disgusting amount of totally wasted money, now in the hands of the Bush-Romney cabal. Ick.
Personally, I believe Trump picks no one from this field of candidates. NO ONE, and if he were to shock me, certainly least of all would be Yeb. Not a chance.
He knows who he wants and it will be someone of exotic caliber, capable of meeting the Trump agenda and no one elses. These stinking donors are a colossal trap aligned against voters and our national interests.
This is becoming known and for once, just once, and God willing, it may not work this time.
I really believe you are right. He’s not going to pick a VP from the field. Any politician would surprise me I think.
FOX! Fox’s Brett Baier was the first to play let’s-trap-Trump, for the RNC, into supporting the nominee.
Now that it’s all reversed, and Trump has blown up Me-again Kelly and Brett Aspirin, FOX lets Yeb off the hook on the very same question.
FOX are globalists too. Plain and simple.
I’ve been warning the Trumpsters that all is not what it seems.
Remember when you were growing up there was always some spoiled brat neighborhood kid who ruin everything for everyone else if he couldn’t have his own way?
It has potential...Depends on how many voters would rather see Trump loose compared to how many would like Bush to lose...

I’d like to see Trump loose in D.C. shutting down the corruption.
I’d like to see Yeb! lose.
